Platja Des Cavallet

Reviewed By jcecce - Easton, United States

We took the 14 bus from the bus station which was a 5 minute walk from our hotel. The buses depart every 30 minutes so we waited about 15 minutes. The stop at Es Cavallet is a 3 minute walk to the large parking area where the path starts. And then you still have to make the dusty, long and confusing walk to the beach - another 15 minutes or so, also if you taxi. The bus each way is about €4 per person versus the €30 or so each way by taxi. And we overheard a guy on the beach say he had to hitchhike on another trip because the line was so long for taxis at the end of the day. Chiringay was wonderful! The staff was nice, we were lucky to have a breeze that day, and the lunch we had was excellent. (I had the tuna tartar.) Renting 2 padded lounge chairs and a beach umbrella was €30. You can order food from the restaurant. Or you can stop at the small supermarket where the bus stop is to get snacks or sandwiches. There were some wines and other alcohol there. Facing the sea, the walk to the right is interesting. It gets very rocky and with small cliffs and dunes to the right of the rocky path. Wear your running shoes and enjoy something that resembles a lunar landscape!

Super quite beach on Ibiza, love it, it is so beautiful and you can make awesome pictures here. But be careful with the car, it is very steep to drive there.

Cala Tarida

Beautiful beach, ideal for sunbathing, snorkelling and families. We went for the day and enjoyed the sunshine, had a swim and snorkelled with the fishes. It was end of season so the bars and shops were shut but it was still a wonderful day out.
