Best kept beer in Hythe at a fair price, served with charm and a great atmosphere. Always a good range from pale ale to porter. Wine, cider and snacks also available

Medieval church with an extraordinary "ossuary" (the largest and best-preserved collection of ancient human skulls and bones in Britain). The ossuary (also known as The Crypt) is now closed for the winter season, re-opening at Easter 2019. The church is a wonderful example of how English parish churches have grown and changed through history, with a a variety of architectural styles and features. There are some remarkable medieval "pilgrim graffiti" in the church, too. The church is open during daylight hours every day. Sunday services normally include Parish Communion at 9:30 (with choir, organ, hymns), and Choral Evensong at 6:30 (cathedral-style with robed choir of boys and men, and sung prayers from the Book of Common Prayer). Check our website for up-to-date information and any changes to our service times
Saw this on tv years ago and have been meaning to visit this church and ossuary ever since. Well worth a visit. The church has some beautiful stained glass windows and the ossuary is fascinating with very friendly and helpful staff to tell you the history and point out interesting facts. A short but walk from Hythe High Street. Quite steep (took my parents, neither of whom in great health) but they made it slowly!

My mother and I stayed at the Hythe Imperial for a New Years treat. The hotel is in a great location and we were upgraded to a room that gave us a fabulous sea view. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The pool was nice and warm and not too busy. Changing rooms could do with an upgrade. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with so much choice. Great value for money. Will definitely return ????

My husband and I recently stayed in the Belcourt Suite at the Hythe Imperial Hotel. during our stay we decided to book a spa package which included a full body massage and facial each. Upon arriving at the spa we were greeted by a friendly lady who took our details and provided us with robes and slippers, I think the lady’s name was Sarah. I had a gift voucher to use and she dealt with this for me, she was very friendly and helpful. Once changed we were shown to the relaxation area as we were a little early for our treatments, my husband and I said we were happy to wait in the corridor as we appreciated that due to Covid, certain areas of the spa were closed (including the relaxation area) however, we were told we could wait there as there was nobody else due to arrive, which was lovely!! With the heated floor, dim lighting and relaxing candles it was a lovely way to start our spa experience! We were then introduced to our therapists, mine was called Danielle and she was fantastic (sorry my husband is now tn good with names and can’t remember the name of his therapist but she was also fantastic!) Danielle asked me what sort of massage pressure I liked and it if there were any areas of tension, I said my neck and shoulders needed some help as I’m a nurse and a new mum so they get a tough time! The massage was fantastic and we chatted throughout. I prefer to have a chat as I find silence awkward but I instigated the conversation and if I had wanted to be quiet Danielle would have 100% respected that, she was very friendly but also professional. I was able to remove my face covering for the massage whilst Danielle wore a visor and mask. I felt very safe. Onto the facial...Danielle asked what my skin type was and again, if I had any particular skin concerns. I explained my skin type was combination/oily and I was suffering from a bit of “maskne” from having to wear a mask all day at work...so she chose products best suited to my skin. The Caudalie products used are amazing!! I was so impressed with them that i decided to treat myself to some to take home and use (and my Christmas list now mainly consists of Caudalie products too!) Danielle gave me a brochure detailing what she had used during my facial and the products she would recommend. I can’t wait to try them all!! A wonderful experience and one we can not wait to repeat! Thank you Danielle for the amazing spa experience, you made this stressed out nurse mum feel brand new again! X
