I can’t recommend Miller’s Ark enough! We had the absolute best day and couldn’t believe how hands on we were able to be - from going into the pens to stroke sheep and baby goats, to cuddling baby ducklings and even brushing donkeys. The staff were truly wonderful and were all dressed in elf costumes to tie in with the Christmas spirit. The little one even got to visit Santa and we were really pleased with the gift she received - she was truly chuffed! Plenty of social distancing guidelines in place and we felt perfectly safe on our visit. Will definitely be coming back!

Lovely village church with a friendly and welcoming congregation. The icing on the cake is the coffee shop which is very popular.

Mattingley Church

This is a beautiful old church, i know the old Vicar Rev A Bennett who used to run this Parish, he now is in Hartley Wintney and happily retired here in the village wher ive lived all my life, after ive visited my late father whos sadly buried in St Marys Hartley Wintney every Sunday without fail, i drive here to this church and visit my ex girlfriends Grandfather and although i didnt know him, pay my respects to this fine man whos ashes are laid here to rest at the entrance to the church on the left. A very tranquile and beautiful place to visit, ive been inside the church itself, its stunningly original too

Odiham Castle

Reviewed By johnmW5491IS - Hook, United Kingdom

King John’s Castle is a small and mostly ruined stone hunting lodge. The footprint is still visible and the local historical society has both identified and indicated the relevant areas of the building. The most important fact, is that the “castle” was where King John stayed on the nights before he rode to Runnymede to sign the Magna Carta. The route is along the Basingstoke Canal towpath heading west from Odiham at the bridge over the canal at the North Warnborough side of the village. It is on level ground (it’s a canal stupid) but the path is narrow and is often a tad muddy in poor weather. Go, try, enjoy ????
