Booked to see a band we like as we were on holiday in the area visiting relatives. The theatre was really nice with good seating and a nice bar/reception area. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Car parking was limited and we just missed out, had to park not far away in a public car park but no cost due to the time of day. A fabulous asset for a town like Honiton, they should do everything they can to protect and keep the theatre going.

Allhallows Museum of Lace and Antiquities

In the town famous for lace making, Allhallows Museum has one of the most comprehensive collections of Honiton Lace in the world. Displays in two galleries feature exquisite examples of 16th to early 20th century Honiton lace. There are displays covering a huge range of local history topics including the Honiton hippo, metal detecting, wartime memorabilia, highly collectable Honiton Pottery, and a Victorian dolls house. The museum is packed with information and activities for all ages and interests. There are activities to amuse the children - a choice of four ( free) children's quiz sheets are available, with a guaranteed prize on completion, plus, puzzles and an opportunity for everyone to try lace making. Honiton lace making demonstrations are held by volunteers on Mondays to Fridays throughout June, July and August.

A lovely museum, apart from the Lace exhibits there are plenty of other local history displays with something for everyone. Lots of information provided and pleasant, knowledgeable volunteers on hand if you have any questions. This museum is just of the main street and definitely worth seeking out - admission is FREE although donations are of course welcome. An excellent example of a local museum lovingly put together and maintained by enthusiastic local people.

We wanted something different for diner for a Saturday night so thought we would treat ourselves to a delivery. Although it was a reduced menu due to COVID restrictions the choices they did have made it hard to chose. We both settled on the Beefy Bruv burger with chips and extra garlic mushrooms. It was easy to order via the website and brilliant that you could choose your day (you can pre book for a different day up to a week before) as well as time slot, and you can also add contactless delivery. At the precise time of delivery that we booked, there was a knock on the door and a very friendly delivery man handed us a red hot dinner. Once opened it all looked amazing (and tasted it too) with great portion sizes and still hot to eat even once we had dished it up. A great meal had and will definitely recommend anyone to order here. It really brightened up our day.
