Helensburgh (/ˈhɛlənzbrə/; Scottish Gaelic: Baile Eilidh, lit. 'town (or burgh) of Helen') is a town within the Helensburgh and Lomond Area of Argyll and Bute Council, Scotland. It also has its own Community Council. Until local government reorganisation in 1996 Helensburgh was in Dumbarton District and hence also in Strathclyde Region; prior to 1975 it was a small burgh with its own town council within Dunbartonshire. In the Middle Ages it was within the Earldom of Lennox, an area sometimes referred to as The Lennox. It lies on the north shore of the Firth of Clyde and the mouth of the Gareloch is close to the western boundary of the town.

This house is well worth a visit the views across Helensburgh to the sea and beyond are breathtaking especially from the top of the steel structure The Cafe is a must staff cannot do enough for you the prawn open and chicken sandwiches were fresh and the foul of the day was delicious and warm

After the closure of the towns local cinema 47 years ago The Tower has relaunched latest release digital cinema in Helensburgh with two new screens and new digital projectors. Went to see the sonic the hedgehog movie and had a great time. Great selection of drinks and snacks for the movie. However it is unfortunate that even on a rainy saturday afternoon the cinema was nowhere near full. I would hate to see the place close due to lack of custom. The only gripe I had was that the popcorn containers are too small! Apart from that it's a great place to watch a film and we will definitely be returning in the future!

I’ve just eaten the best fish and chips ever!!! Huge portion and so so tasty. I can’t praise it highly enough. Feather light batter and perfect chips. Given the restrictions - we had to eat outside (as I was drinking alcohol) but this added to the enjoyment. There’s a gazebo with fairy lights and a patio heater and everyone is so friendly. We’ll be back next week!

Fabulous Pier very picturesque and quaint. Like stepping back in time. Ferry master & staff were so helpful & accomodating. Well worth a walk along.

Since they've renovated the promenade it's looking beautiful. It's a great place to sit and look onto the loch or just to stroll along. Plenty of seats for sitting, or you can just "sit on the wall". With it's revamped square too, Helensburgh is now a super looking place and is always a favourite with day tourists/visitors. Plenty of eating places.
