The Bitterroot River offers the rafter or floater an enjoyable trip down one of the more scenic rivers in Montana. The valley is wide and lush, offering the floater excellent views into the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains. We offer half and full day trips for both Fly-fishing and scenic adventures. ABC acres is a Permaculture Farmstead in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, focusing on sustainable food production, healthy living systems, and regenerative ecological design. Our cattle, chickens, goats, turkeys, and pigs are out on open pasture, eating, resting, and living the way nature intended. Much like our livestock family, our vegetables, herbs, fruits, and nuts are grown with the same approach. It’s a mixture of annuals and perennials intertwined with pollinator species, companion plantings, and multi-structured food forests. It’s nature’s way…..a way of reducing disease, increasing harvest, and ensuring diversity for an overall healthy farm. In fact, doing things that mirror natural ecosystems is the focus of our operations. ABC acres offers Farm Stay Vacation Rentals, customized Farm Tours, Livestock Feedings, Self-Guided Farm Walks, and other on-farm activities complete with educational kiosks, Bitterroot River access, and an onsite Farm Shop.

The Mansion is open 10:30 am - 3 pm for Tours, every day of the week including holidays, mid May to end of September with no appointment necessary. Tours begin at 11 am and are held on the hour, with the last tour of the day starting at 3 PM. Reservation tours by phone or email are available Monday through Friday, starting October to the end of April and depending on Mansion availability. Grounds are open from 9 AM to 5 PM. Located on 46 acres of lush landscape, the Daly Mansion is the historic home of 19th Century American industrialist Marcus Daly. The exhibits convey the story of Marcus Daly and his family. Today, the Mansion is a hub of local culture, entertainment, engagement and historical interpretation.
