Definitely one of the most spectacular cemetery I've ever seen. The attention to details, the peacefulness, and the location at the foothills of the mountain is just incredibly beautifully designed.

Monumento al Sagrado Corazon de Jesus

Reviewed By 400kerlym

Last Friday I visited Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus with my boyfriend and 2 other friends, we arrived at 3am, after the friends party, this place is amazing, with a beautiful view, it is located on the Ascending street to El Carmen Hill, next to the Julian Coronel and Loja Streets. This place has as a complement to the monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus (symbol of the city), 166 stairs were built to access Christ statue. The bas-reliefs of the fourteen stations of de Via Crucis (The Way of the Cross) can be appreciated in the stairways. The security was excellent, the guards were very attentive. The bad point was the street, because it didn’t have a good signage, and didn’t have good lighting. We took many great photos. I have visited the monument 3 times and all the times I have felt peace and love being there.

Torre Morisca

It was Monday and the interior was closed but having spent months seeing Moorish edifices in Spain and Turkey it was a lovely surprise to come upon this clock tower. The tile work is beautiful as well as the cut of the door and windows. The adornment of those features seemed an exquisite example of the style.
