Westerhall Estate

Dating back to the 1700's, Westerhall Estate's Rum is award winning and finest at its best. Tours are available to see the runis, waterwheels and museum. And tastings of our fine rums. At Westerhall Estate we take pride in maintaining tradition. So we still make our rums the old fashioned way, slowly, carefully, with the skill and knowledge of generations of experience. Time has taught us that you never rush a good rum. The time and care we take, you'll taste in the fine quality and flavourful character of all the products we offer.

Originally I did not want to visit as Westerhall does not produce, nor ages the rums but mixes them - however I by accident acquired their small 10XO at the gas station the very first day we arrived and since I tried it I put all my "beliefs" aside and decided that it's on :) The grounds are very nice, the tour includes some info on the history of the estate, some history of Grenada and the future of Westerhall Rum in Grenada - very nice and considering it's $3 usd per person and that you get to sample all their rums at the end it's probably the best deal on all of the Caribbean islands I had a pleasure to visit :) TIP: it's an easy 20-25 minutes drive east from the Grand Case area, about 30 minutes straight from the airport - it's worth it, everyone will find something here TIP: they accept credit cards for rum, cash for tour but their internet isn't best so make sure to have some cash as I bet you will end up taking some rum home with you - the 10XO is definitely the best rum on the island and very high on my fav list now :) TIP: 10XO large is $25 USD and small is $8USD - at the airport the prices are almost identical FYI

We enjoyed the tour (brief but informative). We also thoroughly enjoyed the tasting. The person who did the tasting was helpful and friendly.
