We took a picnic lunch and followed the Sentier Viticole path up from the Mairie into the vineyards. We stopped and had lunch by the chapel among the vines. After our walk among the Mosbach vines we headed to the Cave in town to taste some of the family's wines. Christophe was so welcoming and we learnt a lot about Alsace wines. The Domaine's wines are fabulous. I was worried that our two young children would be bored, but Christophe was so kind and thoughtful with our 5-year old daughter. Luckily our 22-month old slept through the whole thing (we chose to visit around nap time on purpose). A wonderful introduction to buying wines at the vineyard for my husband and an unforgettable day for us all. Many thanks, Christophe!

Domaine WACH is a family business located in Andlau, a pretty village in Bas-Rhin, Alsace. From artisan coopers to artisan winemakers, we cultivate our vineyard on a human scale. We take pleasure in drawing great Rieslings and other wines from Alsatian grape varieties. Our 8 hectares, divided into about twenty parcels, represent just as many nuances to discover.

We popped in to have a look at this shop and to try some of their wines. A great experience, great value wines some of which are pre boxed in gift sets, a great idea. Parking is poor in the area but the lovely young lady who served us offered to close the shop and carry some of our purchases to our car for us. Fantastic customer service, would that happen in England, doubt it. Well worth a visit
