Wli Waterfalls

We took the long walk to get to the highest point, it is impossible to follow the trail without a tour guide, our tour guide was a local guy called Dodzi, amazing dude, we had a blast with him during the hike and afterwards drinking some beers with him and other locals. The hike is tiring, but so rewarding once you get to the waterfalls and take aa swim in their pool. If you come to Ghana, this trip is a must!

Mole National Park

When you visit the park, you're always accompanied (mandatory) by an armed guide. You can only visit the extreme southeast of the park - the rest is rather inaccessible. I didn't see any large mammals though, except antelopes and monkeys, as they were deep inside the park for the mating season,. I was there for birdwatching and wasn't disappointed at all ! So so many bee-eaters, hornbills, parrots, songbirds,... I spent 2 full days in the park and I wouldn't have minded to stay another 2.

Kakum National Park

This forested parkland makes for a great day hike with fantastic views, especially from the wooden suspension bridges that soar a hundred feet overhead.

Reviewed By 904agnesc - Zoutleeuw, Belgium

I visited the park twice to do birdwatching. It's about half an hour walk along a trail uphill (no heals or flipflops), until you reach the canopy walk. There are 6 platforms, all connected with hanging bridges, built around big trees, +- 40m above the forest floor. You don't see the ground however, which is a benefit if you're afraid of heights. The bridges are quite narrow : the wooden boards you walk on are about 30cm wide and the protective netting isn't always in the best of condition. But to be with the birds on their level, high in the canopy, is awesome.
