What to do and see in Galway, Western Ireland: The Best Fun Activities & Games

October 20, 2021 Rebbecca Marino

For visitors, the best thing about Galway is that you can walk everywhere. As soon as you arrive, enjoy a walk through the city streets. There, you'll find lively pubs, independent shops and winding cobblestone streets packed with students, artists, writers and craftspeople. You may even hear Gaelic spoken. For a day trip, take a ferry to the island of Inis Mor. You'll return refreshed by the ocean air and Inis Mor's breathtaking scenery. Oh, and be sure to wear sunscreen on the island, no matter how chilly it is. (Just trust us, okay?)

My boyfriend and I visited this comedy club and it really was tiny! I would recommend coming early enough to make sure you have a comfy seat, as it really is small! The place was full and the atmosphere was great. The free pizza was from supermacs along with sausages and wedges (my boyfriend and I are vegan and were delighted to see wedges!) The host was absolutely hilarious, along with all the acts. Great value!

Thanks to all the team at Eile Mental for a fantastic experience. It was really well set up and organised and in a cool location. We were a large group for a hen party (guys and girls) and everyone had great craic dressed in combat gear. The shooting and archery were brilliant and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks again, we will definitely be back!
