Belwood Lake Conservation Area

What a lovely and peaceful area. Belwood Lake has been a popular get away for people for many years. The Highlands where my friend has his trailer is very well run and controlled to keep things from getting out of hand. If you want a place with the lake or a pool, this is a place to go.

Mosaic Spa

Reviewed By Honest R - Guelph, Canada

I had gone to Mosaic Spa for botox and fillers and the owner has NO CLUE what she is doing. It wasn't until I was scarred - PERMANENTLY and went to another reputable medical centre, and explained how I was given the botox & fillers, that I was told she incorrectly administered them to me. I had to go multiple times to my new medical centre to have the Mosaic procedures corrected by someone professionally trained, and educated to administer them. I am still left with permanent scarring that I will have to live with for the rest of my life.
Beware of using this location, as it is not a place I would ever refer anyone to. The botox never lasted as long as even 2 months, whereas where I go now, it's lasting me up to 6 months and my fillers are done properly and in a way that Mosaic spa NEVER did. Just because you're a nurse and went to conferences doesn't mean you are qualified.
I forewarn all to do your research and go somewhere that has made a good reputation for themselves with a much larger clientele.

Fergus Grand Theatre

A part of the community since 1928, the Fergus Grand Theatre is rented out year-round to many different individuals and organizations who use the building to stage a wide variety of artistic, cultural, corporate, and charitable events. In 2017 the theatre will undergo major renovations to improve washrooms and accessibility, and will add a presenting season to its operations.

Reviewed By Beaglebreath - Fergus, Canada

Community theatre is always a gamble. Like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. Recent shows we've attended have been diverse, from Christmas Pantomime (which seemed to be primarily for the benefit of the actors and where every audience member seemed to be related to someone on stage) to musical impersonators (I'd swear it really WAS Ed Sullivan up there) to the suspenseful thriller "Wait Until Dark" (well-produced and well-performed in a limiting environment). This theatre is home to a number of smaller dramatic groups, and a stopping-off point for many travelling shows, so the varied schedule of events is likely to provide something for every taste. The building is historically old and has been recently refurbished, but the auditorium is small and facilities are limited. That said, all the seats are good, and no-one claimed this was The Old Vic. A good time can be enjoyed by all. Just open the box and take your pick.

Wellington Artist's Gallery and Art Centre

Reviewed By TKoTP - Hamilton

I was driving to past this gallery the other day and on a whim decided to drop in. I had been to the gallery several years ago and since there it has come under new management. This gallery is more a local artist co-op than a typical gallery.
I found many attractive paints and photograph for sale at very reasonable prices and certainly recommend stopping in to see what is happening with some Wellington County artists.
