The church and churchyard provides a haven of peace in a busy village. There are medieval features including a magnificent South porch with a green man. Another is inside in the nave. The church is sometimes open for coffees.

We decided to go for a healthy walk on the Strawberry Line which is located on an ancient railway track. It is of course very flat all the way along although there were a few puddles to splash through. Some cyclists and other walkers, a few with well-behaved dogs, passed us either way occasionally but really not many at all. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It's good to get out and about during the lockdown and this is the place to do it!

Recently sampled twice our local pub's weekday addition to top notch Sunday Lunch menus. Home made steak and onion pie, scrumptious and filling, Liver Bacon and Onions - superb! very tasty large pieces of bacon, (rashers!), tender liver, mash, peas and runner beans (fresh), and delicious thick onion gravy made with meat juices with additional gravy boat to add as required. Super value
