Elie Beach

When you think of the requirements for a good seaside resort, Elie and Earlsferry is pretty much as good as it gets. The village is quaint and charming, the beach is fantastic, the harbour area lovely, the coastal walks stimulating, etc etc etc. Add the delightful Ship Inn and several other delightful cafes and shops and you really have it all. We always pop in here when we are in Fife and have never been disappointed.

Bought lovely brown filled rolls and coffees. Sat at harbour to eat, yummy. So enjoyed them that on our way home after a long walk stopped off again and bought some cheeses along with another two filled rolls. Shop staff very friendly.

Nestled behind a wide expanse of dunes and a sweeping sandy beach, multi-award-winning Elie Holiday Park at Shell Bay is a true hidden gem. Voted as the Best Visitor Attraction in Fife by Kingdom FM listeners, families have been enjoying holidays here for generations and are attracted by the unique location, fantastic entertainment, abundance of wildlife and the exciting Robinson Crusoe Adventure Park. Childhood memories are made here. From morning 'til dusk, there is so much to do and see. You can walk the coastal path, go rock-pooling, spot seals lolloping in the Forth, spy deer bobbing between the trees and, if you're lucky, you may even see a rare red squirrel! Kids can go wild at the Robinson Crusoe Adventure Park and enjoy the exciting arcades in the Smugglers' Cove Games Room. Couples will also love Elie Holiday Park. Explore the picturesque fishing villages, enjoy a walk around Ruddons Point (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and catch one of the local summertime festivals. In the evening, sample the tasty new menu at the Kincraig View Restaurant and live entertainment at Ruddons Bar.

Just returned from a 3 night break. Park was very quiet and relaxing. Shop has restricted hours 8-1 on the days we were there. Cafe open for takeaways only again restricted hours of 4-8. Food was tasty and good sized portions. Lots of walks around the area. We took the coastal path to Elie which was well worth it although not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility. The beaches were very quiet with a mixture of sandy stretches and rocky area with pools to explore. Would recommend if you want a relaxing time away.
