Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park

We love history and this was a diversion from an otherwise long drive. This small museum is in a residential area, though not far from the highway. You will likely need to parallel park. There is a large monument as you approach, but the museum building appears quite small. The tour cost is low, downright cheap for the tour you get. The docents are friendly and make the experience fun and educational for all. They are very pleased to help those who may need special accommodations. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Very young children may not appreciate the tour.

Roosevelt Park

Roosevelt Park is a welcome oasis in a busy section of town. It is close to Target, Menlo Park Mall, JFK Medical Center and many more businesses, However, when in the Park it is serene and full of possibilities. Within the Park there is a school for special needs children that allows the opportunity for the public to use the ice skating rink in the winter. There are streams that run throughout the Park where you can explore for small "wild life". There is also a large pond for fishing , jogging or walking around or just quietly sitting around reading or people watching. You can have a picnic or cookout. There is a covered area for shade or protection from rain is available. You can walk, jog or ride your bicycle around the many paths and during the summer, enjoy a "Play in the Park". Basketball and tennis courts are also ready for your use. Roosevelt Park is well maintained and easy to get to. I have been going there since I was a child, then our children and now our grandchildren continue to enjoy it.

This place is totally relaxing, totally rejuvenating and clean. Spa services available, but I did not use them. Snacks, meals and beverages are available, too. You can bring your electronics if you plan to stay a while and bounce between the pools (not coed and no electronics allowed) and saunas (coed). I can easily spend five hours here, but always spend much more. There are common areas for lounging, eating, watching t.v. and conversing with others, if you choose. You can bring your own clean socks, if you prefer to not walk around barefoot, as they have you check your shoes at the entrance. You'll be given your own locker for your shoes and another locker inside, for your clothes and other belongings. Also, bring a vessel for water, if you plan to stay hydrated, as they have water coolers throughout the facility. Enjoy your stay!

I recently used Blue Limo Services for a pick up at JFK and it was excellent! The driver was there in time, even a bit earlier and waited for me to get my luggage. It was easy to connect and find each other at the pick up zone. I was taken home quickly and safely. Would absolutely recommend their services and would absolutely use them again!
