What to do and see in Dublin, Province of Leinster: The Best Food & Drink

February 4, 2022 Renato Branum

You've probably heard that Guinness tastes better in Dublin (fresh from the factory), but what you may not know is that Dublin is a perfect destination for the whole family. No, we're not suggesting you let the kiddies drink a pint. Instead, take them to the Dublin Zoo, to feed the ducks in Stephen's Green or on a picnic in Phoenix Park. Scholars enjoy walking in the literary footsteps of such writers as Yeats and Joyce, while discerning shoppers have their pick of designer boutiques.

Fabulous Food Trails

Each walk is a gentle 2.5 hour stroll where we stop, eat and meet at six to seven different venues depending on the route. Our stops are carefully chosen to reflect the traditional and contemporary Irish table, each is small, independently owned and run. All of our guides are local, and there is a little bit of history and architecture as we walk along, but it is food led. We run our walks in Dublin and Cork all through the year. We don't walk on Sundays when the smaller independently owned places we tend to visit are closed. We also have a Food & Fashion walk in Dublin offering a taste of Artisan fashion producers alongside favourite foodie stops.

A chairde, I attended the Weber essentials cookery course yesterday afternoon and I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. It was very informative and relaxed and the programme was perfectly pitched. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone with an interest in cooking on the BBQ. Our chef for the day, Johan, was very professional and friendly throughout and his expertise contributed in no small way to the enjoyment of the day. Míle buíochas, Séamus
