It's a great thing to combine with a visit to the Dead Sea.
The siq trail takes about 1 - 2 hours. Depends how many breaks you take on your way.
Wear really proper shoes. Water shoes are not comfortable because your feet will hurt of the small and pointy rocks you need to walk on.
The temperature in the siq is really nice, because sunlights hits the siq for only a short time. So no sun cream needed.
Must be said that this adventure is big for everyone. Although you think you are a fit person, we have seen strong man who just couldn't make it through the whole trail.
The entrance fee is 21Jod. For this you get a life vest.
We recommend the reserve to provide visitors also with helmets.

Spiritual if you are a christian.
Am not actually, but i enjoyed the visit, lots of history.
Entry is 5 jordanian for arabs.
You reach the place, buy a ticket and wait for shuttle, a shuttle moves every 30 minutes. Shuttle takes you to site were guide gives you a tour around place and tells you about all the history.

An enormous castle strategically perched high above the former trade route. The view is amazing and one can see why a castle was built here. The area is large and difficult to visit every part, and some parts have not been well preserved. If enroute, stop in.

This is a nice location where to get some nice pics of the Dead Sea, chilling at the restaurant (go for the high varieties of appetizers) and take a walk in the museum. It’s only a hall full of info about the flora and the fauna of the Dead Sea between past and present. Easy to visit if you are travelling with small children.

I have visited the Sohum Spa by coincidence and was pleasantly surprised by its highest standards and especially by the absolute professionalism of Ayurvedic doctor Avinash Tiwari , who gave me perfect consultation , with full explanation of my body type and wellness recommendations and also he advised me 2 excellent treatments - Abhyanga and Pain relieving Spice Poulties - which I took with excellent therapist Ms.Chandra, who made me feel absolutely pampered , relaxed and very well taken care of. The room was incredibly comfortable, oils in right temperature and very generously used, the poulties has a great smell of spices and plants. I was regular customer of nearby spas in other hotels, but now I am going to come only here to Sohum and very often. Dr.Avinash kindly emailed me list of treatments - so now I can book all of the treatments by the phone before I come.. Thank you very much ! Also I want to express my gratitude and big thanks to all Spa stuff for their hospitality and professionalism !

We arrived early on the day, disappointed by the reception. We booked full tickets including lunch 40 JD. We asked for towels, we had to pay extra 3JD extra, another extra 3 for lockers. Over lunch we were told drinks and water are not included. I asked for the wifi access, was given then I discovered it only works in the reception area. They have reasonably good changing rooms, though old and cleanliness is below expectations. Then we passed nice swimming pool, a bit crowded with different level of people. The real frustration is the beach were we were planning to spend the day yet we could not spend longer than 45 minutes. There was construction work there just on the beach. The real frustration is there was no instructions given as it was all rocks, very slippery, very sharp salty rocks. Of course we got lots of cuts. There was no facilities by the beach except the guy selling the mud who was helpful and friendly. Lunch was ok but not special. I suggest for travelers to search other spot as I believe there must be better else where.

The museum at the lowest place on earth is the entry point, the museum has a few god points of interest and has AC and really clean toilets .
Then the cave is a short drive up a steep gravel roadway leading off out the car park it was easily done in our automatic hire car , just go slowly and steady. From the top carpark it's a trek up steps to the cave , church etc. Take you water with you ! I was salty by the time I got to the top .
A great viewpoint take the camera . I was surprised how small the cave entrance was , although it apparently does go quite deep.

The resthouse allows you to learn about the geology, nature and animals of the Dead Sea area. It also makes you aware the Dead Sea is shrinking at the rate of about 1 meter every year.

Our vehicle was passing through the Dead Sea Paths . Mystery Sleeps here reminding us lot of Ancient Biblical Memories one being the Lot's wife looking back and remained as Salt Pillar and the ruins of Sodom and Gomorrah and we took pictures.Finally we reached Israel Egypt Border
