Not exaggerating when I say this was one of the best things we spent our money on while in Croatia. The cave itself is full to the brim of exciting formations, and Marijan (the guide) is full to the brim with knowledge about it! We learned so much between jokes and laughs on the tour, I absolutely recommend.

Two friends and I planned this very last minute but it turned out to be a real highlight for us. Due to the current situation we were fortunate enough to have the whole place to ourselves but Sadan, the owner made just as much if not more of an effort to make this an amazing experience for us. The view from his first tasting room is incredible and the wine was free flowing while he shared facts about his craft and his life stories which were fascinating. You could tell he was passionate about wine! We ended up staying late talking, enjoying wine (one might say too much as it was as much as you can drink) and lovely cheese, ham and bread to go with it! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Rak Winery

Winery Rak focuses on the production of grapes and wine in Dubrava, near Šibenik, under a specific climate in the Dalmatian area, and we take our pride in the cultivation and production of three autochthonous wine sorts: Babić, Debit and Maraština and from Babić grapes we also produce opolo and rose. Viticulture is long family tradition, which started in 1960-s, and we maintain the tradition today. Honoring the tradition, as our inherited love for vineyards and wines, we use the modern technology and equipment, keeping up with modern standards in the fields of grapevine cultivation and quality wine production. Our family business includes a tasting room, where you can taste our wines and eat homemade culinary specialties! See you in Winery Rak!

We stopped at the winery on a random day in the week after tourist season, without a reservation and without any expectations. What happened next was one of the magical evenings you always dream about when you’re somewhere on a vacation and want to experience something authentic and special. Marina and her brother invited us inside their beautiful place and even though they were busy during harvest season gave us their full attention and all the delicious wine to taste. Marina is a special person paying attention to every detail and she is very professional and friendly. The whole family business is run with love to their wine and their customers and it truly shows. If you love wine or just like to experience the local atmosphere and great hospitable people you don’t want to miss this place!

We are so glad we booked this experience in advance. I don't think we would ever think back on our time in Croatia without remembering the time we spent at this winery as we had the best experience that was far beyond our expectations. This family have a huge history here and we loved learning all about it. Now we have a new appreciation for our wine in New Zealand as the forerunner to introduce wines to our country came from the Nobilo family, here in Lombardy. We have had many winery tours, this personalised one was the best. It was such a reasonable cost for delicious and generous wines and food.

Filip gave us a warm welcome in his wine tasting room, very nicely decorated. We were lucky enough to be the only ones to be there on the day and have a private session and discussion with him. Such a genuinely passionate person, great stories and explanations about his experiments with his different wines. We recommend the wine tasting with cheeses and olive oil, they definitely match very well together with the amazing wines. We came by bike from Vodice and were very happy with the trip, thank you Filip and for everyone wondering, this is definitely a place worth visiting in the area!

We toured the villa on a wine tour from Dubronick and fell in love with everything ... the views, wine, service, property and location. I mentioned to my husband that I really wish we could have planned to stay and he surprised me by rearranging our stay to end our vacation at this dreamy location! We can’t say enough about the staff, the service, the food, the wine , the property and attention to detail. You wish for something , they make it happen ! They orchestrated three amazing dinners for us including a wine cellar with candles and another outside watching the sunset on the sea with candles and twinkle lights . I can honestly tell you, We didn’t want to leave ever and I even had my husband extend our stay another day . The attention to detail is so noteworthy esp the personal attention every step of the way including the executive chef , Ante, meeting with us each morning to plan creative meals together! His creations are art and taste even better ! They make everything look easy and treat you like a king and queen . Marianne and her team are outstanding ! We stayed in the owners suite and I highly recommend that experience !!! Wow ... the views and detail are amazing ! Highly recommend it ! Lee Anderson the owner did everything right with his vision . The wine is spectacular and we can’t wait to have it represented in our wine room . We will never ever forget this experience and can’t wait to go back !! The views, smells , people and feeling we felt will be with us always ! Thank you team villa for breathing life back in our souls and feeling so at home in your beautiful villa! We are ready to come back already ... you will see us soon !
