Marek is an excellent guide! We enjoyed how he kept the tour going at a good pace while also allowing plenty of time to take in the scenery. He took pictures for everyone in the group and shared points of interest and history as we passed relevant sites. At the restaurant (which was delicious!), he made great reccommendations regarding which traditional Czech dishes to try. At every turn, he kept us informed of what we were doing and where we were going so that we always knew what to expect. The Bohemian Switzerland Park and Bastei bridge were phenomenal sites to see! Pictures don't begin to do it justice, but suffice it to say this tour should be on your bucket list for sure!

Czech - Saxon Switzerland

This is a great park and I'm so glad that I went. Originally Bing showed a picture of the Bastei Bridge in the park as one of their wallpapers and I became so taken with it that I did some research and booked a hiking trip. The Saxon Switzerland National Park lies on the border between Germany and the Czech Republic and you can easily access the park from either country. I went from Prague on a 14 hour day tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rock formations are captivatingly awesome and the bridge lives up to it's reputation. Because our tour left very early we ended up being the first on the bridge so the photos we got were spectacular. Also great views of the Elbe River. Not much of the original fort remains. After lunch we hiked down the side of the mountain to a river gorge, walked along it until we took a dinghy through the sandstone walls of the Kamenice Gorges. Absolutely worth it. Good hiking shoes are a must. Fortunately my tour was well paced with rest stops and meals.

This small area is for sure worth seeing ! We came there specially because we knew this is a wonderfull place. And it is indeed ! Few practical recommendations : There are two basic tours - a short one marked yellow and a "full" one, marked green. The green one is far better although it is demanding some phsical training. If you enter the park through the main entrance, choose the green mark and go to the left ! Most people turn right and if you do it differently, you go against the main stream of tourists but later you meet them just for a while and thus you can enjoy the trip w/t crowds. We started at 9 a.m. and we were there quite alone. But keep in mind that the area gets quickly overcrowded later during the day especially during the main seson. This may complicate the visit of some viewpoints which are on the top of the rocks. Our favourite viewpoint was "Vyhlídka míru" offering great view of Trosky and Ještěd ....

I’m so impressed by the Poltergeist. I’ve always wanted to play a scary escape room that isn’t just jumps and bumps. This was it! The physical environment of the room was so convincing that even though I knew it was a game - I kept looking around me and thinking... no this is too realistic. The lighting transported our fear to another dimension. And the scariest parts were when everything suddenly changes - like going to sleep in one bed and waking up in another. The room is seriously scary. Usually after scary things, especially escape rooms - I look back and think ha, that wasn’t so bad I was just scared in that moment nothing was really terrifying. But with the Poltergeist... I remember a hundred different details that still make my skin crawl. Probably one of my favourite rooms I’ve ever played. Thankfully after all the perfect scares from Vasek as the monster, we could chat and recover with our game master Jakub - his service was outstanding and Jakub was probably the nicest person we met in Prague! We also played the medieval dungeon which had plenty of amazing puzzles in an incredibly beautiful set. I would really really recommend the medieval dungeon, especially if you like the idea of a little bit more tension but not poltergeist levels of intensity! The Dungeon was a game really packed full of creative puzzles, it is a difficult game with a lot to do but tremendous fun! (I’m sorry I can’t find the cards with the game masters and receptionists name but you guys were great too!) I would return to this venue in a heart beat (although I think my heart almost stopped beating after the Poltergeist!) Thanks guys :)))
