The cooking class with Cristina was an intimate, engaging experience and the perfect was for my wife and I to spend our first evening at Finca Adalgisa. Cristina did a wonderful job explaining how she makes each dish and each one tasted amazing. The wine provided throughout the class and dinner was also top-notch.

Asado Cooking Class Mendoza

Experience a friendly atmosphere in Mauricio’s home. Gain firsthand knowledge from an experienced chef about grilling different cuts of meat in a traditional asado. Learn to set the fire the local way, to choose the cuts of meat, to prepare our traditional chimichurri sauce, to grill the delicious meat and vegetables, taste regional appetizers and our famous Malbec wines while we get the coals ready to grill our “Asado.” The activity will last between 3 1/2 to 4 hours. I participated in a session with Mauricio while in Mendoza on vacation and really enjoyed it. Mauricio is friendly and personable, and is good at explaining the details of the asado experience. We made a variety of vegetables and meats (bring a big appetite!). I will definitely be making homemade chimichurri, and trying some of the grill techniques I learned in this class. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in cooking and local culture.

Cristina and the team could not have done more for us. The classes were great fun and well thought out. My wife and I, different levels, different teachers, studied every weekday for the whole month and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. As well as the school activities Cristina showed us around Mendoza and the surrounding countryside and even kindly offered to collect us from the bus station. If you want to learn Spanish and make good friends in Mendoza this should definitely be your first port of call.
