E-Venture Bikes

E-Venture Bikes provides electric bike hire and sales. See more and go further when you ride E-Ventures pedal assist bikes and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

This is a really good bike hire shop, with all bike options available for everyone, whether electric or more traditional bikes. The pre-booking works well via the web, and I just turned up, brought some of my own clipless pedals with me, and off I went. The guys helped me check my proposed route, and then I went up and around Skiddaw on a bike! The beauty of an ebike, is you will often end up doing far more than you would have done on a normal bike, so give it a go, and you will be greatly surprised what you can achieve!

The toddler was safe and comfy on the back of dads bike. Excellent cycle route from Allanby to Maryport, flat and mostly tarmac, stunning scenery , safe for kids. Great shop, full of all sorts of useful bike bits from helmets to handle bars. We hired a few electric bikes for the afternoon to ride round Derwent water, the bikes were so fun and easy to use. We were given clear instructions on how to use them as it was our first time trying electric. We were provided with a map and Brian talked us through the best routes and noted a good place to stop for food and drink and a point of interest along the way. The routes were lovely; through the mountains with amazing views. Electric bikes are definitely a great way to experience the lake district.
