Церковь, построенная в XIII-XIV веке, но в последующем реконструированная в XVI. И внутри и снаружи преобладает готический стиль. Более интересен интерьер церкви, здесь сохранились интересные фрески и арки украшенные с помощью azulejo

Just the right size, stunning interiors and well illustrates the layers of culture and history here. Easy to imagine the cultured nun pouring her heart out in passionate letters in the giddily decorated interiors of the convent. If you visit this museum, you can happily spend the rest of your stay by the lovely Pestana Pousada pool.

Herdade Do Rocim

Its reassuring to see the future with large scale investment in wine production in Portugal in spite of all its economic & austerity problems .
We were taken to this very modern wine estate started in 2000,created with special regard to the Topographic , the clay ,sandy soil ,weather conditions to produce high quality grapes
It is set in 70 hectares of vineyards with magnificence views & a serenity not normal found on a wine estate . The buildings which house all the very latest equipment are set in to a hillside , careful landscaped which is deceiving when you get inside , its like a James Bond movie set .
We were meet by Anna Moreira who spoke perfect English , & looked after us for the 90 minute tour & tasting with enthusiasm,, knowledge ,& professionalism ,not normal found in guides
The final part was the tastings which was held in ultra modern hall ,which match the high standards of the wine & olive oil given as samples
Worth a definite trip to be assured that Portugal particular the Alentejo region will be producing for many years to come very high quality wine for limited consumption in Europe ,but
will exporting these high quality wines to the rest of the world , well done , full admiration to Anna & her colleagues & those all important investors
