There are several walks up and down through the forest here, but the walk along the gorge is the highlight! Really great. Recommend using the Argyll Forest Park Map and Trail guide which is free to access online on the Scottish forestry and land website. This also shows where to park and facilities.

I'd wanted to visit these gardens since seeing them on Gardeners World and they were even better than I'd hoped. Beautiful trees, quiet space, lovely walks, red squirrels, interesting features around the gardens including a restored Victorian fernery on a hillside. Not to be missed.

We spent a really great time in the Castle House Museum. We were visiting Dunoon in a bit of a nostalgic return having spent many summer holidays there as a child staying grandparents. John gave us a warm welcome and provided excellent advice and help and was the perfect person for the job. His wealth of local knowledge was matched by his knowledge of the contents of the museum and he was very helpful and went out of his way to help answer some queries we had.

This property was historically owned and concurred by many different clans. It is a must-see while in Scotland not far from Glasgow Airport. The history here goes back hundreds of years. The remnants of the castle that currently stands was conquered by the Sinclair and Campbell family. Originally the property was where the Gordon Clan roomed and prospered. I'm a descendant of the Gordon Clan so it is amazing to own a plot and see the beautiful botanical Gardens and trout streams there are still a natural resource to this land. The current owners who care for the land and are working on restoration of the castle are family oriented and amazing polite people. I highly enjoyed my visit and I'm anticipating the full restoration of this beautiful castle and its historical history. I invite you to purchase a plot of the castle or a plot of land to help with the restoration costs of the castle.
