Went on this amazing trip yesterday 18/07/2020. From start to finish it was well organised. On the way we stopped for breakfast which was large with unlimited tea and coffee. We also stayed their on the way back home and for just £12.00 you had main course and desert which again very large portions and served by two very nice members of staff. The horse riding activity was excellent and again the staff at the stables were all lovely. Hello to Mary. They had a very warm and friendly approach and you could tell how much they loved their horses which were all well looked after. The walk along the cliffs is not for those with a fear of heights, saying that once you are up there the views are second to none and surely took my breath away. Just seeing the wild horses and the valley below us with its streams and water falls made it all worth while. The horses were extremely well behaved and I totally fell in love with my horse Sky. Now on to George he is the lovely man who runs hoovin about. He is fun witty and made all of us laugh from the moment we met to sadly saying our fond farewells. He made us all feel at ease and although I was in two minds about going to begin with as this was organised by my daughter, I can honestly say I am so glad I went. This was just the tonic I needed... No not gin and tonic !!! I have not had so much fun in a long time, and after being couped up for such along time during lock down this was just what I needed. Some outdoor fresh air and a good laugh with some fantastic people who I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time. So all I can say is get out from behind your laptops and put down your gaming consoles its time for some long awaited company and fun. Thanks George for a great day out.

Our games host was brilliant and provided hints when we needed them (which you do need in this game, especially if you've only got 3 players). We will be back to try out some of the other rooms.

We were invited to a wedding reception that was held here and we had an absolutely fantastic time from start to finish So much thought has gone in to every area of this venue with tables made out of barrels and crates turned in to works of art - very funky, lovely ambience and a great place for a wedding venue The venue is on the site of a brewery and in a room next to the reception area is where the beer creation happens. There is a van outside the venue where all the food is cooked and we were given lots of burger options and ours were cooked perfectly and we experienced great attentive service all round There are retro arcade machines here which for those of us born in the late 70’s / 80’s, will define appreciate as well as 2 pool tables. There is a really nice bar area and an outdoor seating area with blankets to keep people warm which was a nice touch. This was a brilliant place for a wedding reception. I would also recommend coming here for a few drinks too as it has something for everyone and is unique to other bars / wedding venues

We love coming to Coombe Abbey, it is for sure one of our favourite outdoor places in the area. We’ve been coming here for years since we moved to the area. Our kids love to scooter here, all of the pathways are flat & accessible. They also love to; generally run around & explore, climb trees, go digging in the loose soil, watch the bunnies & sheep at the fields at the back, feed the ducks/geese/swans/pigeons, play stick or pinecone races in the streams. There are two play areas, the first by the visitor centre is mainly aimed at younger children, so we tend to head to the one at the back of the park near the ‘top pool’ which has bigger equipment at it. In good weather, there are plenty of open spaces to sit on a blanket to have a picnic etc. You could also happily play games such as kicking a ball around, rounders, frisbee etc. If you’re wanting to spend a bit more money, the recently opened Go Ape climbing centre is good too, but I’ll review that separately. When the visitor centre is open, the shop is lovely with lots of different outdoor toys for kids to enjoy, alongside general gift items, all at reasonable prices too. They also have other units in there supporting local craftsmen too which is really good to be supporting small local business. The food at the cafe is also good, when it is open. Definitely recommend to anyone ????????

Gain a fresh perspective on the legend of Lady Godiva, discover your ancestors’ history in the Coventry Archives, and explore British & European paintings from the 1500s onwards. All of this is just a stone’s throw away from Coventry Cathedral.

Reviewed By bdon257 - Morpeth, United Kingdom

The Herbert Art Gallery is in a pedestrianised area adjacent to modern buildings of Coventry University. Just across the square are the ruins of Coventry Cathedral and the newer Cathedral as well as some of the city’s medieval buildings. This is a very good resource with a mix of Old Masters through to more modern exhibits, it is well laid out and with changing exhibitions it is worth returning to.
