Will Rogers Memorial Museum

Memorial museum and resting place for the American icon.

Wonderful museum for a great man! Especially liked the movie about Will Rogers’ life story narrated by Bob Hope. Showed scenes of his roping skills; AMAZING! With all the quotes about politicians in general, it had me wondering what Will Rogers would have to say about today’s politicians. I’m sure he would tell it like it is! I was especially heartened by Will’s friendship with Charles M. Russell (artist) and I will be sure to visit the C. M. Russel Museum in Great Falls, MT to see if Will Rogers is also mentioned there. The Will Rogers Memorial Museum s a “must see” if you visit Claremore, OK!

J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum

World's largest privately held firearms collection. More than 12,000 firearms ranging from 1350 to today. Also, Native American Artifacts, WWI history, Cowboy saddles, spurs & brands, music boxes, musical instruments. Fun for the whole family.

This is a great stop if you have an interest in firearms or Wild West-type history. My favorite part of the museum is the noose collection. Probably not the best stop for kids under the age of 5 as it's not really geared toward the little guys. They may have added something for the preschoolers since I've last visited though, so please call and ask. J.M. Davis Arms Museum has an awesome, extensive collection and a boatload of history!
