In town for a couple of days on business and had many recommendations to have dinner here. Came with a group of 8. Service was good and facility seemed clean enough.
Personally I found the food to be very bland. It's not often I reach for a salt shaker but my country fried steak and the gravy needed a good dose of seasoning as did my friend's fried chicken.
The side order of fried okra was very good however.
There were pie orders from around the table. The winner seemed to be the peanut butter chocolate, which comes as a HUGE serving. The brownie, the buttermilk chess and the coconut cream only received "it was ok" comments.

Enjoy this bit of Claremore history while enjoying a delicious luncheon. The menu includes favorites like quiches, soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts. After dining, take a peek at the gift boutique that has clothing, purses, gift items and more. If you are in the Claremore area, I highly recommend it.

Came in at lunch today. Ordered a Ruben sandwich and fries. After 2 bites It didn't have much dressing. I went up and asked for a side of dressing. The guy said they didn't have any.
I sat back down and thought: this is nuts, it's a Ruben, it should have dressing on it. I haven't had a Ruben since I was in NYC.
So I returned my plate and asked for a refund. The old man was VERY offended. He said "You going to get your money back alright!" He took it to the kitchen. I could hear people shouting
"that guy is crazy, there is dressing on there!, See it's right here!! "
The old man returned and gave me my money back, but then they accused me of stealing food. I asked what he was talking about because I gave them my plate full of food.
I told the old man I wouldn't be coming back, I couldn't believe they said all that. Other customers were looking at me and my family.
I was so embarrassed!!!
The man told me to go eat pizza. I still have no idea what that meant. Then he told Me there is nothing else to eat. Again, no idea what that meant. He then told me to get out. Who does that? Who throws a customer out because there is a problem with an order?
He made such a racket about things, other customers were watching.
I was not upset about the sandwich, I was disappointed. I've been here many times but no more. The attitude and hateful way they treated me over a simple mistake is appalling.
Overall: crappy service and attitude, the food is "okay at best". I would suggest you follow the old mans advice and eat pizza instead. (Who does that?!? Tells a customer to eat somewhere else! Idiot)
Someone tell the old man that if he is mean to customers, he wont have any soon. I'm telling as many people as I can to skip this place.

We eat here occasionally when we are in town. When we do, we try to eat breakfast here.
Very large servings, enough for 2 people. We usually split it and ask for an extra plate.
There is a $1 charge for that however. I don't understand the charge for bringing an extra plate, we divide it!
Another problem they have and is that they need to do something about the flies. There are always flies, other restaurants don't seem to have this problem.

Accidently found this place when the toll road person told me to turn and I would find a coffee shop. Has a great feel to it. Muffins are great. People are very friendly and helpful.

We had a late lunch here today. We both ordered the sliced Brisket and it was awesome. The Brisket had a smoky flavor with no waste. You could cut it with a fork. I had the green beans and fried okra. My husband had the baked beans and coleslaw. Our entire meal was great with service to match. We are so glad we stopped in and can't wait to come back!

The service was terrific. Our waiter was wonderful. Funny but yet very good at his job.
We sat out side because the weather was wonderful. in the 70's March 18th.
The inside looked very romantic and nice.
Food was wonderful. !!!!!
The house was built in 1905, around there and it is Pink !!
I would like to go there again the next time I am in Claremore. I have grandchildren that live there.

This was a great surprise find. We found the food to be excellent and the service the same. We will return to this location for sure the next time in town and looking for Mexican food!

On a recent Claremore visit we were expecting to find only fast food for lunch. The Main Street Tavern was a delightful surprise. My wife enjoyed an awesome bone in pork chop accompanied by steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. I enjoyed a classic burger with sweet potato fries. Our waitress was great. food arrived in about 12-15 minutes, fresh and hot.
We’ll be sure to go back next time we’re in Claremore.

My husband and I met friends for dinner. Service is great. Homemade desserts. I had coconut cream pie but tasted the cobbler and lemon pie. Lemon was my favorite!!
I had fried pickles and chicken fried steak but I wish I had ordered the rib eye!! Tasted my friends. It was by far the best entree.
