We had a 3 night Victoria Falls package put together by Batoka Safaris packed with exciting activities for the whole family. Activities included a sunset cruise, a tour of the falls, lion & elephant encounters and a game drive. Solomon, our driver was friendly, punctual, always smartly dressed and willing to go the extra mile to accommodate even our smallest requests. He was patient with our young children and willing to answer general questions. Solomon ensured smooth handovers to third party service providers when they were required. 2. 7Days 6Nights Botswana Highlights Safari
Botswana highlights adventure tour begins in the Victoria Falls, home to the largest waterfall in the world. There will be optional activities at the Victoria Falls; this creates time for those who desire an adrenaline dose. However, you will make your way to Chobe National Park, the country most popular third largest game reserve. Spend the afternoon viewing the concentrations of wildlife in the game by the comfort of a riverboat. You will as well visit the Central Kalahari game reserve and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Afterward, set off to the inland delta, a labyrinth of lagoons, lakes and hidden channels of approximately 17000 square kilometers. The experiences are never the same as water levels, and temperatures fluctuate from season to season.

With three extra days in Namibia, I decided to include a quick trip to Etosha. I struggled to find a company that was still operational, and met my needs. Then I chatted with Megan, representative with Across Africa. I quickly knew she was actually interested in helping. Her sincerity, honesty, humanity and dedication were recognized immediately, and I knew that I didn’t need to search further. She set up my trip with no hidden BS, made an effort to meet all my needs, and did all of it promptly, professionally, and graciously. My trip turned out perfectly down to the last detail. I credit Megan and my guide Steve for making my quick visit to Etosha unforgettable. Because of them I will use Across Africa in the future and suggest to others that they do the same!

This small group overland tour with camping accomodation offers you insights in Botswana culture, history and the best of Botswanas safari destinations as well as the Victoria Falls. The tour takes you from Gaborone to Victoria Falls on a budget. On the way you visit Khama Rhino Sanctuary, the Orapa Diamond Museum, Makgadikgadi National Park and the Okavango Delta as well as Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, Elephant Sands and Chobe National Park. Had a great trip on the mokoro with a local guide called Elijah arranged through Kalahari Breeze. Great communication and planning from Chris and team to help us prepare (eg timings, what to bring etc). Was about 1 hour drive from the hotel to the village. At the village we were met by Elijah to go on the mokoro. On the way out (upstream) the mokoro ride was about 1.5 hours with a few hippo sightings along the way. It’s completely exposed so make sure bring sunscreen / long sleeves! Once we arrived at the island we did a walking safari / hike for about 3 hours. It was quite long in the brutal heat but well worth it as Elijah was able to show us elephants, giraffe and wildebeest - all from afar but still much more than we were expecting. We then had a quick lunch prepared by Chris and team and set off back to the village on the mokoro. The way back was quicker as downstream and just as well after a long day. We got back by about 3:30pm. Overall a great day out and way to experience the Okavango delta. Highly recommend!
