We rented a Kawasaki Versys 650 for a 6 day trip around the Mae Hong Son loop. The bike was practically brand new, and rode that way. Flawless and impeccable. Also rented a jacket, of which they had heaps. They also had good quality helmets for rent. Prices were incredibly reasonable, communication was excellent at all stages from initial inquiry through to handing off at the end. Very thorough and professional couple. One look around their shop was ample evidence of the pride they took in their business and reputation. They were a great source of knowledge and advice, and it was easy to communicate in English. It was the perfect outfit for us and played the most important role for us in ur trip of a lifetime. Highly recommend them.

Mango Bikes Rental

Thai / Irish owned business. Scooters and Motorbikes for rent in Chiang Mai since 2012. Our story is simple - Be honest, fair, flexible and provide reliable bikes. Honest - We are happy to say that this honest policy is working as we get many many repeat customers. Fair - When a customer rents for a week or a month and needs any extra days, we just pro rate the extra days. Flexible - If a customer would like to change and try a different model during a rental period, this is fine. Reliable bikes - Our bikes are serviced at our shop every three months and all work is recorded so we can accurately service them in a timely manner. P.S. We have had a few new riders crash into parked cars outside our shop recently so unfortunately we are unable to rent to new / beginner riders. There is a Honda Safety Riding Park in Chiang Mai. We would recommend learning there before you rent. Thanks :)

We rented twice during our time in Chiang Mai, once for 5 days to go to Pai where we took an exciter each and then again just one bike for the day up to Doi Suthep. Each time they were really professional and friendly and they also did us a good deal on the price both time too which is a bonus. The owner is an Irish guy and the rest of the staff speak very good English so it's easy to communicate. The bikes were in great condition unlike many we've rented around Asia and it was explained to us that they alway test and service them before sending them out which you could see in the shop where they do their own repairs. Breaks, tires, steering, gears etc, all perfect which is really important on the roads around Chiang Mai and Pai. Very low deposit too, just 2000 for the exciters each and it's only 1000 for the scooters with just a scan of your passport. Really trustworthy and top quality company and bikes. Only thing I could say that could be improved was a few small things: Firstly, the helmet selection isn't great especially for women as most are quite big. Secondly, it would have been nice to have a bit of a luggage rack on the back of the bikes for your bags as they were a bit awkward to attach without one and would have been impossible to take big bags up. Thirdly, we initially went here partly because we saw the legend 200s here but there were none available. We also wanted to rent an MSX first choice and it was available from another company but we decided to go here and go with the exciters instead as it's a more reputable company, but we do prefer the MSX so would be a good addition to their line up as many other places do them!

Cat Motors

Cat Motors is a family motorbike rental business first started in the far 2010 year. The story of Cat Motors began with a Yamaha Fino that we rented to our friend back in October 2010. Today, our company has up to more than one hundred motorbikes with different engine capacities and several cars. Our goal is providing a functioning motor vehicle and ensuring your safety on the road. We do not scrimp on the timely maintenance of the vehicles and monitor their condition. The maintenance that requires to be done by high-qualified professionals is held only in the Honda and Yamaha service centers. We donate about 5% of our company’s profits to the charities sponsoring education programs for children from low-income families. We believe that knowledge is a way to life. A way that provides an opportunity for children to get an education and become doctors, scientists, teachers, engineers, and contribute further to the society. Cat Motors — created by Travelers for Travelers. Welcome!

I learned about Cat Motors when I was researching for the Mae Hong Son loop and their ariticle is one of the best and most informative for the road trip. Since they emphasized a lot in riding safety, it shows they care about the riders and their MC. I rented a 125 automatic for 9 days, and the price was very reasonable. I checked out other shops and none of them were able to match the same price or even come close. I also like to able to select the bike that I want and Cat Motors have many to choose from. Other shops will bring the only one you ask for, so you don't get a chance to look them over. The bike ran went well and drove through 1864 curves. I took it easy and treat the bike over bumps and around the corners to make sure no damage to the bike and make the trip safely. Thai drivers are great. They don't honk or rush you if you are holding up traffic. They just drive pass you. 125 cc is more than enough for one rider. It's convenient to drive around town. A recommendation for those who plan to do long trip is to rent the bike for an extra day or two to test the bike out and become familiar with it. I was glad I took the bike on a day trip to Doi Inthanon and Chiang Dao before heading off to do Mae Hong Son loop.

My girlfriend and I rented scooters here for the Mae Hong Song loop. We have done many loops throughout SE Asia and have had several problems before and have never had someone take as good care of their scooters as Happy Days! Never had any problems and we’re handled very professionally. Would come back here again and again.

Vanessa + Robin and their team are amazing! They’re friendly and accommodating, super helpful, understanding, and kind! Vanessa went out of her way to help me find a motorbike to purchase from her friend once I stopped renting. THANK YOU! They are centrally located and easy to access. Great prices, and not at all scammy to tourists. If you’re in Chiang Mai for a short while or a long time, definitely seek out their shop and get a bike from them! They have TONS of options to suit your preferences and experience level! :)
