The Rathaus is the most beautiful building in a plaza full of striking buildings. The historic district of Leipzig generally is charming and compact. Great for strolling, and almost no cars. Lots of shops and restaurants among the historic buildings.

A lot of industrial exhibtis from Chemnitz' industrial past ("The German Manchester") are shown, most prominent the machines that were used to produce different kinds of textiles. Many of the old machines do still work and are shown in action from time to time. All in all this is a really interesting place to visit and certainly something you shouldn't miss when in Chemnitz.

The picturesque Wasserschloss Klaffenbach, located on the southern outskirts of Chemnitz, was built in the 16th century and has now been turned into a cultural meeting point of a very special kind. Parallel to the river Würschnitz unfolds the general complex from closing buildings, hotel, restaurant and arts and crafts studio in the midst of a landscape park from green meadows, attractive golf course and popular walking ways. Als wir im Sommer 2010 aus dem fernen München anreisten und das Theater zum ersten mal zu Gesicht bekamen, waren wir begeistert. Das Haus bietet alles, was man sich als Zuschauer für einen gepflegten Theaterabend wünschen kann. Rote Samtvorhänge, Holzvertäfelung, schönes, einladendes Licht und 250 sitzfreundliche Plätze, allesamt mit guter Sicht zur Bühne. Also haben wir, gemäß dem Zitat von Max Reinhardt, unsere Kindheit in die Tasche gesteckt, alle Zelte abgebrochen und uns auf und davon gemacht um hier für Euch ein abwechslungsreiches Theaterprogramm anzubieten. Seitdem stehen wir im Fritz Theater nicht nur als Schauspieler auf der Bühne, sondern sind gleichzeitig: Bühnenbildner, Dramaturgen, Garderobieren, Hauspersonal, Inspizienten, Intendanz, Kostümbildner, Kulturmanager, Maskenbildner, Regisseure und Requisiteure Glaubt mit uns an die Unsterblichkeit des Theaters!!
