The Cocktail experts have finally landed in Chelmsford! Pop in & try one of our many cocktails (over 150!) made by our magnificently skilled mixologists!
THE place to be for a girls night. Visited with a friend for a few cocktails, and was welcomed straight away by Megan and Mike. After some cocktail assistance and deliberation, we went for a Swedish Spring Punch and Paradise Punch as it was 2-4-1 hour. Will definitely recommend and be visiting again soon! Thanks guys!!

Set in the heart of rural Essex, and enjoying stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, RHS Garden Hyde Hall is one of the finest gardens in the east of England. This 360-acre site is a haven of peace and tranquillity, encompassing a diverse mix of garden styles from traditional to modern. Highlights include the Dry Garden with its fantastic range of drought resistant plants, and the Hilltop Garden with its roses and herbaceous borders. There’s also a Global Growth Vegetable Garden, which showcases vegetables from around the world and a Winter Garden that celebrates the delights of wintertime. There's also a cafe, restaurant, garden library, children's play area, gift shop and garden centre.
This place will be enjoyed by all the family, as there is so much to see there, as well as a nice restaurant, gift shop & plant centre where you can purchase some nice specimens to take home. Well worth a visit at any time of year.

A Cathedral in the heart of the city centre. Open daily for worship, prayer or simply to look round. There are many free concerts and exhibitions running throughout the year. See the Cathedral website for details; chelmsfordcathedral.org.uk There is no entry charge and we are situated just five minutes from the bus and railway stations.
Attended a further lunchtime concert, They occur on most Fridays from 12.30. Although it would be worth checking just in case there would be a need to change the schedule. Teas, coffees, sandwiches and cakes are sold from 12 noon by the most charming volunteers. This time it was the Brentwood School Big Band plus Choir. We have attended these lunchtime concerts many times over the years and would consider this Band to be the best event on their annual schedules.

We chose this venue for a birthday party for our child today with over 20 children present. I cannot thank the team at Mace Playce enough for all their help and organisation. They made the whole experience stress free and great fun. They contacted us a few days before to confirm numbers and reassured us that we would only be charged for the children that attended on the day. They took care of the party bags also, there was no way we could have got all the bits that were in the party bag for the price they charged. Other parents were telling me that they had not been there before and were very complimentary on the layout, cleanliness and organisation. I would definitely recommend this venue to others!

Third visit to this museum, this time with family.Boys8/12yrs),they had a great time in play area and we all enjoyed the walk outside, then roast dinner and brunch,in Hive cafe, onto museum, the industrial section was fascinating especially the radio room of titanic, with adult input for the boys it brings them into focus on the displays,as we entered each room ,it was tastefully presented ,some activities for children to do,we had to complete the word search in the ceramics room before moving on,the bee hive, Fascinating, and boys enjoyed the wildlife section, the military displays are so good .Where can you go with/without a family for Free admission,Free parking!! The gift shop is too near the first displays which decreases the attention of children to look at displays there.

The Griffin is proud of its fresh home cooked food. We are trying to source as much food locally and keeping it as seasonal as possible. We have a quiz night once a month and live music once a month. The Griffin has a restaurant, bar, garden and a function room.
Very friendly service, authentic Thai flavours in a laid back setting. Great value for money. Will definitely be coming back.
