Found and Seek

Found and Seek is a little shop that is just a bit different. We sell high quality arts and crafts (mainly local) alongside an interesting mix of antique and vintage items. We like the unique and the unusual.

What a lovely little shop in Carmarthen, Sells all sorts of quirky antiques and handmade stuff and the girls who work in the shop make you feel so welcomed and it was also lovely having a chat about antiques too. Definitely a must if your visiting Carmarthen!

The Escape Game Carmarthen

An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within the set time limit. After the initial briefing covering the general rules, a game master will show you to your room. Your group will enter and get acclimatised before the game master leaves you. As well as Family Fun, Friends outings and Entertainment, our Escape room is proving popular as a Team Building and Staff Activity venue as well as a new method of interviewing potential job candidates by assessing leadership and teamwork, problem solving and managing under pressure in a real life environment while the interviewer monitors candidates live by a CCTV link to the room. Whatever your reasons for popping by, you are sure to have a warm welcome, exiting intro and it will be finished with the thrill of trying or escaping one of our demanding Escape Rooms.

Carmarthenshire Museum

Our exciting news is that the museum’s roof is being repaired, but we have had to close to the public for about 12 months. We would like to apologise for any disappointment which this may cause and we do look forward to welcoming you again early in 2021. The grounds remain open to the public and the Tywi Gateway Trust will continue to provide opportunities for visitors and volunteers as it restores the park and walled kitchen garden.

Gwili Railway

Take a step back in time at the Gwili Steam Railway, a delightful preserved railway just outside Carmarthen in West Wales. Running steam train services every day of local school holidays and selected days throughout the remainder of the year, this is the perfect trip for all ages to enjoy. Experience a typical country branch line from the 1950s with a stop off at Llwyfan Cerrig Station in a beautiful spot alongside the River Gwili.

Took my children here today, what an amazing few hours. Both children and myself really enjoyed. My son loved the train. All the volunteers were so helpful and friendly. My daughter enjoyed the face painting and bouncy castle which were both reasonably priced. Displays on going in to see Santa were great. We had the choice of Santa speaking in Welsh or English. The gifts both my children received were age appropriate and of good quality unlike the last place we went. All children received free gift bags and adults a free mince pie ????. The day was well run and id like to thank the volunteers for making it extra special. Deffo worth it. I will be returning next year.
