Calais Wine Superstore

We are a British-owned, 100% independent business whose owners have been in the Cross Channel trade since it began in 1993! We stock a huge range of wines and beers at UK duty-free prices. Not having to pay UK duty means we can pass on savings of up to 60% on UK retail prices - on average, this means you save £4 a bottle on UK supermarket prices - often the savings are even more. We aim to have everyday low prices but whenever we can, we'll give you even better deals and special offers. We offer free crossings on both the Ferry and on Euro Tunnel. Check out our website for more details.

Calais Beach

Reviewed By Drew040874 - London, United Kingdom

We visited on a glorious summers day and spent the whole day on the beach. They have done a brilliant job in renovating the area. The beach is clean with very attentive life guards. The facilities are clean and tidy and plenty of places to get snacks or something more formal, there are restaurants are close by. First time swimming in the English Channel. Was fun watching all the ferries coming and going to and from Dover. The ferries don’t disrupt your visit to the beach. Free all day parking. Something the UK seaside towns needs to do! Can’t wait to go back.

Read the story and you can't help be moved by the history behind the sculptures and it's captured here in Calais in front of the famous town hall, and set amongst a very well maintained garden of tulips, standard roses irises etc.

The eglise Notre Damn is a magnificent church, rebuilt following the damage it suffered during the war. The exterior architecture is superb and is equaled by the ornate decoration inside.

When 95% of the cars in the car park are French buying French wine it MUST be good. We have been calling in here for many years, sometimes pre-ordering or calling in on spec. We have never gone wrong with the "WE LOVE" labelled French wines right across the price range - they are a must! The staff are wonderful, really knowledgeable and helpful. In recent years the range of Flemish beers has expanded which has made the visit more interesting as the range of favourites has grown! The loyalty card scheme there is really good too - the points soon add up. We are looking forward to trying our latest purchases when they have rested in the rack!

Pidou Superstores

Reviewed By Vixyc88 - Sunderland, United Kingdom

Visit here every year around November time for a trip to the Factory for wine, this year it was very busy and hectic, there is a PJS chocolate shop and a food store connected for those that want to grab something to eat and lots of parking. Wine prices tend to change slightly due exchange rate but prices great. You will need a euro for the trolley. Sells a whole host of things, the blonde beer £6 for 24 bottles is a bargain and a lot of the wines very nice including the St Michael.

Majestic Wine Calais

Majestic Wine Calais is the French operation of Majestic Wine Warehouses, the UK’s leading wine specialist. We have two stores in Calais and in Coquelles, selling much of the same wine as Majestic Wine UK but at far cheaper prices due to the low duty. Passionate about our product, we have a fantastic range at Majestic Wine Calais of over 350 wines from almost every winemaking region.

Reviewed By Jmahg - Maidenhead, United Kingdom

We have been to this Majestic a number of times before. There is always a number of friendly and informative staff to help and a great selection of opened bottles for you to taste before buying. You can mostly find all your favourites that are sold in the UK but be aware that sometimes they are not available. We preordered our main favourites which worked well and then added to them in store. Many thanks to Rene who was very helpful at checkout and managed to save us a little bit of money and for the lollipop for our grandson! Cheers!!
