Stunning walk through the mos7t beautiful woodlands with the added bonus of a Gruffalo Trail and a Fairy Trail for the kids. The scenery is fabulous and it would be difficult to visit and not see a red squirrel. We saw four. Highly recommended but not for the infirm.

A small museum with craft shop. The museum is a working Smiddy with traditional fire forge, anvil, bellows and a wide range of blacksmithing tools dating back hundreds of years. At weekends there is a local blacksmith who demonstrates how to make traditional items such as pokers and toasting forks etc.
This is a unique museum, one of the best I have been fortunate to visit. The Smiddy has been renovated in such a manner that it as it was many years ago. I can confirm this, as I came with my Father (aged 90) who remembers well helping with the bellows when he was 9 years old! Unlike so many museums, this one feels alive, and as though you have literally walked through the door and stepped back in time. Terrific for children as hands on. We were made so welcome and the tour was perfect. Thank you

A peaceful walk on the shores of Loch Fyne brings you to Old Castle Lachlan, once the medieval stronghold of the Maclachlan Clan. Clear paths and trails lead you to nearby Kilmorie Chapel, the resting place of the clan chiefs. Bird watching and beach combing an added extra while exploring this beautiful place.
The views from this castle ruin are exceptional. I got goose bumps looking at some of the phots I took of my boys around the castle. The castle itself isn’t huge, but it has an interesting history and a beautiful walk up to it perched up on the edge of the water.

This was such a find I’m still in awe, this is a beautiful play experience for parents and children. As we go to soft play often, I can still sometimes find it quite a stressful experience, but the den is such a relaxing atmosphere it was a completely different experience. The wooden play frame and sand is so creative and different it looked almost like a fairy/pixie house. The kids where just so relaxed and open to playing in the sand with other children, I found it just a lovely experience for them. The wooden frame was adventurous and could challenge them so they didn’t get bored, but the sand brought out such a creative side to all the children they all started playing together, which added to the experience. Coffee machine for parents, beautifully clean, the wooden tree benches and chairs tied into the decor so well ( maybe a couple more would be fab for parents) but this was just such a lovely start to our day out, the staff where so friendly, suggesting the garden walks and garden centre cafe which where both lovely. We will most definitely be recommending to family and friends who holiday in Argyll, this area is tiny but packed full of fab things for everyone to do. I’m very jealous of the parents that live near to the den.
