I have visited once before, many, many moons ago though. Yesterday I visited Duxford 's Land Warfare Museum again, and was inspired to learn a little more about the Suffolk's. The museum staff are very knowledgeable indeed. They were able to answer my every question. They accessed information which wasn't left out (due to the pandemic), and talked me through several of the exhibits. I read many poignant stories about the men of the Regiment over the centuries, and the hardships they endured. The collection is very impressive, and required more time than I had today to do it justice. I shall return.

Didn't realise they did delivery food so thought we would give it a go. prices are great. we ordered three pizzas and six beers. I mentioned to the person on the phone that it was my mums birthday and they even put a lovely note on the box! We paid over the phone, the person was very informative and it was all quick and easy. Pizza arrived on time, piping hot and was delicious. You could tell it was all homemade. Beers were also cold which was a nice touch! The delivery man was very professional and followed social distancing when delivering pizzas. All round a lovely experience. Will definitely be ordering again!

Our first pub visit since they re-opened post lockdown and was worth the wait! Lovely garden with a big canopy set up. Tables nicely spaced out. Really friendly staff/owners, and food was delicious. Great selection of drinks too. Will definitely come again if we’re ever passing through the area.

St. Mary's Church

Spectacular grade 1 listed medieval church in the Church of England with lots to see and an extensive programme of worship services and community activities. You're always welcome. Admission is free. St Mary's is the civic church of Bury St Edmunds and is one of England's most historic as well as one of the biggest. The spectacular west window is the largest of any parish church in the country. The 15th Century hammerbeam angel-roof is internationally recognised. Visit the tomb of Mary Tudor (Queen of France and favourite sister of Henry VIII) at the east end and lots more besides. Our volunteer stewards will try to answer any of your questions. St Mary's remains a beautiful peaceful place to enjoy stillness and to pray.

I was more impressed with the church than the nearby cathedral. Literally awe inspiring, plenty to see, with some really excellent volunteers. Well worth the visit.

We enjoyed a lovely visit to the Abbey whilst visiting the town. It is lovely that this piece of British heritage is freely open to the public. Equally impressive is the way the gardens are lovingly maintained. Well worth a visit.

Limited selection of beers in what is possibly the smallest pub in Britain, so it’s perfectly understandable. Quirky decor a must for everyone visiting Bury St Edmunds.
