This is certainly worth a trip. Beautiful Ranch out in the middle of a State Forest. Take some snacks or a picnic basket with you. You can taste the Whiskey, Rum & Shine they make from all organic ingredients. And of course buy some. They have a nice outside bar with different wines, domestic and craft beers. Great outside seating areas to enjoy a drink or 2 and socialize. Horses and Donkey to pet it you'd like. It's a long bumpy 5 mile drive on a gravel road off hwy 19. We almost turned around but persisted and made it. Very happy we did and plan on going back.

What a wonderful, hidden gem! The ambience and wine selection are second to none. Having been to the historic and renowned Biltmore in North Carolina, I can genuinely say that this winery is more than comparable. I had such a wonderful evening enjoying the wine, landscape, and pizza from the featured food truck. If you haven't ventured to this institution yet, you're truly missing out! The price is right and you will not regret it!

McKethan Lake Nature Trail

I'm writing this review with the intent of praising this park but yet keeping it saved as a 'hidden gem'. Each visit for me has been relaxing and calming. No bling, no zoom! Just a less traveled path. It's a fairly small park, I guess that helps it from becoming a busy place. The little lake is tranquil. There are some short trails to enjoy, along with a small walkway bridge. I'm content to sit at one of the rustic tables and just listen to the sounds of....nothing. Peace and quiet. Ahhhhhhh!
