Heritage Museum

Read about this place in a December 2019 Tampa Bay Times article, so we just had to visit. Knowledgeable docents walk you through all the rooms and give you ample time to ask questions about each room. If you’re in to paranormal activities, a night tour is available to search for the ghosts that are said to haunt the place! It was well worth the drive from Tampa and I’d suggest a side trip to the NJoy Spirits Distillery to round out the day!

Chinsegut Hill has a long history, dating back to pre civil war. It is located on the second highest point in Florida. It is well maintained with beautiful grounds suitable for family events. The Tampa bay History Center now is curating the furnishings and offering tours. Beautiful spot in this part of Florida. Away from crazy malls and theme parks

The 1885 Russell Street Train Depot

Reviewed By OrlandoRick - Orlando, United States

One of the reasons for travelling to Brooksville was to visit this historic train depot - one of a dozen historic train sites we've been visiting over the last couple of years. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the depot, the operations there, as well as Brooksville and the entire county. Great stories, underscored with personal knowledge. Trains were a huge part of settling Florida ... this is yet another link in the chain of knowledge.
