What to do and see in Bristol, England: The Best Fun Activities & Games

August 3, 2021 Giuseppe Pratt

Bristol is a quirky British city with beautiful hilly vistas and plenty of historic sights to explore. Anyone interested in ships will have a blast aboard Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great oceanliner, and the Matthew, a replica of the ship upon which John Cabot sailed to America in the 15th century. The graceful Clifton Suspension Bridge is another must-see.

We had our company team event at InPlay golf this week. Nicky was great at managing the booking process and we went for 2 simulators for a group of 10 mixed age, gender and ability golfers (we had some pro golfers and other who had never even picked up a golf!). We played a team competition between the 2 sims; allowing everyone the opportunity to take part regardless of golfing ability. Both Paul and Nicky gave us excellent help and tuition throughout (I think Nicky's putting tips really helped seal the win for us!) and as the bar was open throughout, it was amazing how much the non-golfers confidence grew after a few drinks! Overall, I would highly recommend this as a great team event for any age, sex or golfing ability. For a larger team I would certainly opt for a 2 hour session as it goes so quickly. Go and give it a go, you won't regret it!

What a great night out . We were welcomed by Cal and the perfect man for the job - enthusiastic and explained everything clearly . The clues were very clever and sometimes a bit tricky and even though we didn’t “escape “ my work colleagues escaped theirs. Would definitely do it again and would recommend to anyone . Our age range was 17 to 71 and great for all

So organised a surprise birthday guys night out for my husband and his mates who are all guys that love games, fancy themselves as great lateral thinkers and top of their game. Different characters but all up for a good time. Getting them organised in secret wasn’t easy and you know men, never on the ball ;-) But they got there 30mins early and raring to go ... I was worried it would be a flop but heard only good things from even the most crictical haha they said it was a great laugh, a really great escape room and most of them had done them before... the added dimension of cells and smoke and mirrors as it were really was fun. One of the team mates ended up handcuffed the entire event as he was too slow which they found hilarious. They followed the notes I left them on dressing for a dirty dingy place and using loo prior lol and it was all good. On a personal note I was so happy with the team behind the scenes quick to send me payment links and help as extra mates joined later ... had an issue where one thought he had paid and it didn’t go through and they were great about it and helped me sort it out with him and let me know later it all went through which put my Monday rest as I just wanted the night to go well. So BIG thank you and I’ll be coming with my mates next I think as was a bit jel I didn’t experience all the fun and games... Only issue .... you didn’t keep the other half locked up with pig face for the weekend to give me a break !

I booked this for my daughters 14th birthday for her and her friends they had such a fantastic time. The staff were very helpful and patient with five chatty giggly girls. They had an amazing time completing the Zombie Apocalypse which they completed using some helpful clues with 9 minutes of time left. They all had such a good time I would highly reccomend the experience.
