An amazing course, beautifully presented and a real test, especially on a damp Saturday! It was a pleasure to be back after a break of a few years, playing a round of golf with some old friends. Hospitable and welcoming pro-shop and clubhouse.

Rosie was DELIGHTFUL, got the measure of us really quickly and we had great rapport throughout. The horses were suitably interesting - not just plodding around, but also really safe and sturdy over some quite dodgy cliffs. Such spectacular views and a total delight. Really worth every penny. Couldn't recommend more.

Ellesmere Riding Centre

Reviewed By DayTrip44150432904 - London, United Kingdom

I’ve just returned from a wonderful weekend ride where we covered over 50 miles of the stunning welsh hills. The scenery and riding is spectacular; as are the horses. The horses are so well cared for-they are super fit, well schooled, safe and sure footed. Often with these kind of trips the horses can be overworked, seen as machines or horses will just follow each other nose to tail-none of which is enjoyable or acceptable. But these horses are top notch and I think that sets Ellesmere apart. The guides, Georgie and Pip, and Julie who looks after the horses at the yard, were also fantastic. A huge and special thanks to Myfanwy, the dedicated and passionate owner who arranged everything for us; including picking out the most suitable horse for each each individual, arranging our stays in lovely b&bs and booking our delicious dinners in the local pubs. I’ve been on a few day rides with other establishments in over the years, but I now wouldn’t go any where else and I’ve recommended Ellesmere to every horsey person I know. Looking forward to visiting again next year!

Cantref Adventure Farm and Riding Centre

Me, my wife and 7 year old daughter came here for a day out on Unicorn day. We had been before approximately 4 years ago but it has got even better! There is lots to do including- Small pet handling, lamb feeding, goat&sheep feeding, crazy golf, rowing boats, paddle boats, sand & water play, soft play, tractor ride, zip wire, foam party etc etc. A lady called Sarah is the main entertainer (she runs all the feeding groups, shows etc) and she is brilliant! She’s really good with the kids and gets a lot out of them. The food is very reasonably priced approx £6-£7 an adult meal and £4.95 for a child’s meal with drink. We actually took a picnic with us as we weren’t aware of the reasonable prices for food. All in all it’s a great day out and also has the added benefit of beautiful views!
