Garibaldi Provincial Park

Garibaldi Provincial Park is a favorite destination of outdoor enthusiasts: it offers a range of hiking opportunities from lush alpine meadows, wildlife viewing opportunities, alpine flowers blooming in lush meadows, and hikes ranging from a few hours to a few days using map and compass. Garibaldi Park has an interesting geological background as it was created by volcanic action which created the formation of many of the parks peaks; the Black Tusk, Price Mountain, The Table, Mount Garibaldi, the CinderCone and the Glacier Pikes just to name a few. Lava from Clinker Peak is responsible for the creation of The Barrier. Behind this natural dam 300 metre deep Garibaldi Lake was formed.

Fantastic experience! Great views. Alpine flowers in full bloom. Only disappointment was finding discarded noodles in the stream. Encourage people to please learn about how to properly discard food waste! Information is provided by Parks Canada upon making reservation.

Crooked Falls

Reviewed By PerfectDayToPlay - Vancouver, Canada

Of all things to do in Squamish, Crooked Falls trail is one of the most epic experiences you’ll find while exploring the surrounding landscapes. Crooked Falls is probably a hike you’ve never been to, or maybe not even heard of. Understandably so as Crooked Falls hike is not an easy one, and is not considered to be a “touristy” location. This Squamish trail has been only recently “discovered to the public” and brought to light by one of our local bloggers. We’ve followed the “hunch” and truly loved what we’ve found! NOTE: the hike is a hard one. I do not recommend attempting it with young kids under 10yo, even if you plan carrying them in a carrier or a backpack. Get more details and see stunning photos on my blog - see link in my profile.⠀

Eagle Run

Reviewed By ISureHopeSo - Squamish, Canada

This is an ideal spot to break up your southbound drive to Vancouver or your northbound trip to Whistler and beyond. If you've packed your pooch, then it's even better because it's a perfect spot to walk your four legged friend. The signage to find it is pretty much nonexistent so use Google to locate the Watershed Grill and park along the road upon arrival. The signage at Eagle Run hasn't been updated since JFK was in office (or so it seems) but none of that really matters too much because it's the outdoors that brought you here and it's those same outdoor surroundings that will keep you here for that wonderful hit of fresh air you were craving to break up your day. There's two separate places to get doggie poop bags if needed too so if you left you're at home, it's not an issue.
