We booked a return tour from San Pedro Atacama to Uyuni salt flat. Overall the tour was amazing. We were lucky to have Wilson as our guide. He was driving carefully, giving a lot of info about the sights (in Spanish only), and he is also good at taking photos, which was useful at the salt flats. Communication prior to the tour was good too, Gabriel was always available to answer our questions. The slight downside was dealing with addional requests. Another couple from our group didn't get the private bathroom they paid for. The change of the driver in Uyuni, after the main part if the tour was finished, was a bit of unpleasant surprise. If you join this tour pack soap, sanitiser and toilet paper, as hygenic facilities are basic.

This is a fantastic trek in the Cordillera Real in a region of lakes and peaks known as Condoriri, or the place of the condor in Aymara. This region is frequented by climbers who take advantage of a single scenic lakeside base camp that affords accessibility to multiple peaks. Our trek will take us up the Condoriri valley past several pristine lakes and then up a beautiful trekking peak known as Pico Austria (5350 meters), with views of multiple glaciated peaks all the while. From the summit, we will have views of Lake Titicaca, the highlands, and the entire Condoriri region.

If you are debating between the 2 and 3 day options, we definitely recommend the 3 day. After lunch at base camp on the first day, Juan prepped us to go do some mountaineering training, teaching us several different methods of walking with crampons before setting up a top rope so we could practice ice climbing. After returning to camp, we had dinner, breakfast, and lunch before heading to high camp. Once there, after dinner, we turned in early because we had to get up at midnight for the ascent. Although it was snowing sideways when we started, we had full confidence in Juan's ability to navigate. After a couple hours of climbing, the snow subsided as we got above the clouds and we began to see the nearly full moon, lights of La Paz, and views of the peaks. Shortly after this we got to the first vertical slope and began the altitude really made it's presence known. We tried to continue up to see the sunrise as high as possible, but the altitude made breathing too difficult (for 1 of our party????), slowing the pace and making the cold hard on the others. So... At 5,780 msal, we turned around. This is still the highest we have ever been and we were amazed with the experience. We do recommend diamox and time acclimating in La Paz or similar if you are planning the trip and new to mountaineering. Of the 4 people in our group, the one who didn't take diamox had the most severe altitude reactions.

It is located at a distance of 97 km. of the city of Sucre, it has impressive natural landscapes, it has four ecological floors: height, mountain range, head of valleys and valleys. It is also known as the land of peanuts. The weather is humid in the central zone; sub humid to the north and semi-arid. It has ideal places to practice extreme and adventure sports such as rock climbing, rappelling, tubing in its mighty rivers, long walks, expeditions through the canyons, observation of its culture, fauna and flora. Based on the great TA reviews we sought out La Paz on foot for a walking tour of the city. The only downside to the decision turned out to be that their office is almost impossible to find and the contactinformation on the website doesn't help. Weird for a company that furthermore offers absolutely excellent services! Luckily we phoned Milenka, the travelmanager, and from there on everything went smoothly. She told us the company had just moved and greeted us warmly in de lobby of their builing (7th floor of the California building om the intersection of Aspiazu and Ecuador). We decided to go for the Urban trek through the city of La Place. It doesn't visit the usual highlights of the city (easily done on ones own), but literally gives a different view of the city. Costs $25 each, but is totally worth it. Our guide the next day was Theresa. We were impressed by the sheer knowlegde she had of the history and current situation in the city. We went up to El Alto by the amazing cable cars, walked to a little museum, ate typical snacks before returning down by some steep steps. Then onto the famous markets. The tour lasted about 3,5 hours and was an absolutely great experience. Take the time to find their office, or let's hope they'll improve their contactinfo and you're in for a treat.

We spend 3 Nights/ 3 days with our sons (aged 4, 6, and 9) in Chuchini, and all of us loved it. The owners really did everything to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay, and they are wonderful with children. The kids especially loved the dolphins and the night excursion to watch alligators, apart from being allowed to steer the motor boat. Highly recommended!

You´ll be taken through the streets of La Paz through my shared google maps screen. "Walk" along the same streets and landmarks as you would on an actual walking tour and with complimentary powerpoint slides the tour will feel just as, if not, more interactive than an in-person experience. From the comfort of your home and without having to worry about altitude sickness you´ll get all the fascinating information on the culture, history and traditions while simultaneously viewing close-ups of the offerings at the witches market, photographs of the inside of San pedro Prison or seeing what our president in 1864 looked like before he went crazy. Don´t let the lockdown impede you from experiencing the city in the clouds.

Amazing city tour! Definitely a must! I did the "free" (they can't legally do free, but it's super cheap/basically free) walking tour of La Paz. My guide, Christian was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did an amazing job of introducing me to La Paz and it's history and culture. Got to see and learn about all the main sites of the city and he explained each one with stories as well and answered all my questions. Additionally, I felt very safe as they took all the necessary covid precautions. If you are in the city, definitely take this tour! I wish I had time to do some more of their tours...
