Blyth Battery

Reviewed By earthtravelller

Situated on the sand dunes right on the beach at Blyth and adjacent to a huge free car park this is an accessible site with plenty of signage about what you are looking at and includes various buildings in use during both world wars and also newly restored gun emplacements. Well worth a visit on an open day, the buildings hold all sorts of artefacts in room settings to give a real flavour of conditions at the time. There is plenty to look at and the volunteer guides are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Great outing to combine with a trip to the beach, fish and chip shop and ice cream parlour!

Great balls of Fire was a Fantastic performance. Had a great time singing along & dancing. I attended the performance along and was made to feel extremely welcome by staff and other audience members. A great little theater with big character and atmosphere. Also tickets & drink are reasonable priced too.

Beach Blyth

Reviewed By leahvic1995 - Brentwood, United Kingdom

Having grown up in Blyth and living here for most of my adult life, I've spent a lot of time at the wonderful beach. Living in the South now, it's one of the first things on my list when I visit home. A great dog walk all year round, with a mix of sand, rocks and the promenade with the famous Coastline fish and chip shop and other cafes as well as a childrens play area.
