The geographical heart of England, Birmingham started life as a sixth- century Anglo-Saxon village. Today, much of this city of over a million dates back to post-WWII redevelopment in the 1950s and 60s. Cutting edge museums and galleries, innovative theaters and excellent shopping have contributed to Birmingham's appeal as a weekend break destination. Don't miss the hopping bars and cafes of Gas Street Basin or the fascinating creatures at the National Sea Life Centre.

We think that Urban Axe Throwing is the most satisfying and social day or night out you’ll ever have. And we’ve tried a few. You’ll be slinging axes side by side against your friends or colleagues, hitting bulls-eyes and cheering on your mates. All backed up with great music and atmosphere and a chance to socialise between throws. Our experienced throwing coaches will get your throwing like a pro in no time. Then once you’ve got the hang of it we’ll take you and your group through a tournament until the king or queen of axes is crowned. Come and enjoy the Joe Joe Jim’s experience; take a drink from our carefully selected beers, wines and spirits selection, watch a band or comedy night, play a wide range of retro games – from ‘penny pushers’ to Sega Rally … then add a sprinkle of quirk and rustic chic.
Love this place so much. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. They will always stop for a chat and know how to look after people. Menu is burgers and pizza, which is just perfect. Great atmosphere, fab bands and tunes! This is our go to place when we’re out because you always feel so looked after.

Without knowing what to expect we arrived quite open minded, getting split into teams of complete strangers very quickly become your protectors and you are quickly left begging the one with the machine gun not to leave you as you are an emotional scared wreck in the pitch black with the scariest zombies hot on your tail around every corner..... and thank you for not leaving me :) the whole 3 hours were filled with adrenolin and tears of laughter and pure fright from start to finish. The swot team are amazing, very safety concious and very funny and helpful throughout the session. We will be doing another experience once we know our hearts can take it. Thanks for a brilliant morning guys x

Experience the depths of the ocean or the outer reaches of the galaxy. Play together for the ultimate social fun or solo and compete for the leaderboards. Our large range of options guarantee you something new and out of this world!
We visited here last week, as a birthday treat. We'd never been before, so wasn't quite sure what to expect. Arktar was brilliant and explained everything very thoroughly - he wants you to have a good time, and he makes sure you do just that! We paid for an hour's experience, for £30, and I would recommend that the most, as there are different rides, simulators, and car rally/races that you can swap around with and do whatever you want within the time. It's all indoors, so great for something to do when it's cold and wet outside.

The Climbing Depot is the best training facility in the West Midlands. Since I started using this facility in 2019, the centre continues to improve, adding more free weights, squat racks and benches. This is on top of thousands of pounds worth of new climbing holds to give a varied, interesting selection of problems across all the grades within the centre. Well done to the friendly folk of the depot team for continuing to listen to their customers and provide a world class climbing facility in Birmingham. Looking forward to their new early opening hours in March for pre-work climbing and training ????

THE FLOODGATE is an experiential bar located in the Custard Factory, Digbeth, Birmingham. Experience an action-packed, fun-filled adventure to a backdrop of music, graffiti and an explosion of colours. The Floodgate also boasts a 5000 sqft Beer Garden with seating, heating, shade, and games for over 150 people. Best Pub with a Garden in Birmingham? You decide. At The Floodgate you can get an immersive experience at every turn with some friendly competition of Baseball, Curling, and PitPat Table Golf (think Crazy Golf, Mini Golf & Pool fusion). Can you win in all three games? Craft Beer, Ice Cold Cocktails & the latest Street Food top of what promises to be a great day (or night) out.
Finally got round to visiting The Floodgate now it has reopened and so glad I did! We did PitPat and Curling and both were so fun (and curling especially competitive!) all the staff were super friendly and cocktails were great too, I’ll definitely be visiting again some time!

meetspaceVR is an urban VR theme park or VR video arcade where you are free to roam around a massive 200 square meter arena, surviving the zombie apocalypse or rescuing a space station from robots and rogue drones. Last night I visited Meetspace with my partner for my birthday. We had an amazing time and highly recommend it!! We played 2 games (Zombie survival and singularity) and thoroughly enjoyed them. We have already booked our second visit where we will be doing a VR escape room
