Kite and Surf were able to provide us with wetsuits, body boards and a surf board at short notice on our holiday. The rental prices were really reasonable and the location is convenient. Would definitely recommend

Souvenirs, Toys, Beachwear, Wetsuits, Bodyboards, Kites, Beach Games and of course Rock, Clotted Cream Fudge and Clotted Cream Shortbread. We are also Bodyglove and Old Guys Rule stockists.

You've got to visit this great gift shop when you visit Westward Ho, we come here 3 or 4 times a year and we always visit this wonderful emporium of gifts and walk out with a bagful of goodies. There's something for everyone, kids, adults, some lovely memorabilia, cheap and cheerful for the kids as well as lovely selection of things for the home. Clive and Cath are lovely friendly people, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, tides etc. Go and visit you dont find many of these fantastic shops around now a days.

Had an absolutely fantastic day with Gigha on the stained glass and driftwood workshop. There were an abundance of wonderful materials to choose from, clear instructions and all the help needed. The workshop space is so inviting, warm and friendly with Gigha’s beautiful creations all around to feast your eyes on. The hardest part of the day was my own decision making and choosing from all the wonderful colours and textures. Truly a fantastic experience and whilst I’m not local I will 100% be back for more... thank you Gigha

This collection of wartime equipment, paraphernalia, vehicles, artillery, weapons, clothing etc is staggering. Well presented and so much to see you’ll need two trips around. We enjoyed it and our two 11yo boys did too. As with many venues, it’s the people that make it, The Cobbaton Combat Collection is well staffed with knowledgeable informative and friendly staff who are clearly all enthusiasts. There’s a HUGE selection of military based items and clothing for sale in the shop, which doesn’t feel like a shop. The Nafi Van was well stocked and the service was excellent - the pasties were delicious.

We went here with 3 adults and a 3 year old and had such an amazing day, the duck trials were superb and the sheep racing was excellent, great to have bids on your sheep to really get you involved with a prize at the end if you sheep wins. The food was very good and the service excellent. All of the rides were fantastic and very few queues given it was August. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much hassle-would definitely recommend

Fabulous temporary exhibition in September. Whenever I am in Bideford I pop in to this gallery and I am rarely disappointed. Always good art to see and the latest was thought provoking. Good cafe attached.

It combines a Site of Special Scientific Interest with recreation - golf, walking, jogging, dog-walking, bird-watching, just sitting & looking... Combines wild areas, sand-dunes, rough pasture, sea views, pebble ridge with access to huge clean sandy beach, river scenery, salt-marshes... Lots of sheep & ponies, with wildlife if you look for it! See my two films on YouTube (just search under 'SkernScapes'). The first deals with the general area, the second on ecology & wildlife; both are full of beautiful images as well as lots of information. (I have to select a single month as date of visit. Ridiculous! I've visited many scores of times & at every month of the year, & for many years.)
