I chanced on this wonderful gift store in Belleek which is less than 5 mins round the corner from the Belleek Pottery & Visitor's Centre. Lots of local crafts and jewellery, coasters, tea towels and other special gifts, something for everyone! Pauline the owner is so friendly and welcoming and when I asked about the celtic legends and mythology surrounding the significance of the gifts I was buying, she was happy to oblige! Made my day, friendly service and great shopping experience! Great gift store!

Belleek Pottery & Visitor Centre

*Making Memories since 1857* Having achieved various awards including winner of the 2018 Northern Ireland Hospitality Awards for "Best Visitor Attraction" Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre is home to one of the oldest working Potteries in the world beginning it's existence in 1857. Guided tours of the complete production process are offered giving visitors a real opportunity to see how the product has been made throughout the ages, from start to finish. Many of the unique tools and techniques are still used today being handed down from generation to generation. Visitors have the opportunity to meet with the craftspeople along the way and even get the chance to try casting a new piece, dipping in transparent glaze, painting some of the beautiful hues of pastel colours or even breaking products in our QA rejects department! After the Pottery tour our visitors are invited to relax in our Belleek tearoom and have a cup of coffee or lunch whilst looking out on the River Erne.

As others have mentioned there is no tours happening at the moment due to Covid but nonetheless we popped in here to see the place. Lots of free parking available. There is an extensive display of items from their history since the 1800’s which you can walk around and read all about. There is also a video showing at the start of the display which gives a thorough understanding of how the china is made and gives you a wonderful appreciation of the craftsmanship that goes into the finer pieces and baskets in particular. The shop was great. Plenty of gift items at reasonable prices. All in all a lovely way to spend an hour or so and even the young kids got into it and enjoyed it. Highly recommend.
