Casa Museu Quinta da Esperanca

Historical museum that describes the trajectory of this house built in 1595 and the family Barahona, a portuguese family of Counts that lived in this house until the actual days.

Reviewed By Andez34 - Horsham, United Kingdom

I visited in April 2019 having known the house had been restored. The restoration has been done very sensitively and brings the history back to life. Very friendly and helpful tour guides who showed me around and spoke good English. Definitely worth a visit

Museu da Ruralidade

The museu da ruralidade's philosophy based its logical intervention around two structural references: identity and territory. identity because it seeks recovery and dignify the memory of a community.territory because it seeks to expand its operation to the entire region of castro verde. located in a rural zone, in the museum can be seen agricultural equipment.

Cella Vinaria Antiqua

Cella Vinaria Antiqua is a secular Wine Cellar & Museum, restored and converted into a workshop for produce, preserve and disseminate the millenarian technique of producing wine in clay amphoras. A singular space that tells a story with thousands of years and that brings together the best of the history, the culture, and the tradition of Alentejo.

Wonderful experience at Cella Vinaria Antiqua/Honrado. Ruben was great - he was kind enough to do a special program for my elementary-age son & me (kids "wine" making + lunch). Incredible, historic space (the wine cellar). Truly, one of our best experiences in Portugal - very memorable. This place is "off the beaten path" and a "hidden gem", as they say. If you are looking for a unique & memorable experience - you MUST check out Cella Vinaria Antiqua!
