Racing and River Boat Museum

The Racing and River Boat Museum houses racing dinghies and river craft from Great Britain and around the world. There are many important examples of canoes within the collection, some dating back to the 1850’s. There are a variety of sailing dinghies on display with plans to extend the collection in the near future. There are currently two boats in restoration, a Finn (dinghy class sailed by Ben Ainslie) and a Tideway 14 (Traditional Clinker Build).

Escape Basildon

You are locked into a Room with your friends, family or work colleagues and you have 60 minutes to escape. Working as a team, you will need to find clues and solve puzzles or you will be locked in. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO ESCAPE?

I decided to book Escape, "The White Witch" after doing the Magic Emporium with a friend earlier in the year (which was also amazing!). I booked for myself and my 2 children aged 11 & 13 to do The White Witch. We all had so much fun and really enjoyed the puzzels and solving the clues. Sadly we didn't escape but was so close!... We felt safe and Escape has all the nessasary precautions to be Covid safe. We will be back soon to hopefully Escape another room!.

I had a senior group lesson withJonathon yesterday. It was brilliant. I was striking the ball behind the ball instead of after the ball. Jonathan’s instruction was concise to the point. He is able to correct the fault without confusing me with too much theory. He does ladies groups on a Wednesday

I just want to say a huge thank you to Kurt , Chloe and Cydnee who were the party hosts for this evenings charity event. Nothing was too much trouble for them from setting up a room for Father Christmas to calling the raffle and playing with the children whose ages ranges from 2-15years old. They were not only helpful but enthusiastic and energetic! Fantastic feedback from all who attended . See you again soon
