By road, the town is situated 74 miles (119 km) northwest of London, 42 miles (68 km) southeast of Birmingham, 27 miles (43 km) south of Coventry and 23 miles (37 km) north-by-northwest of the county town of Oxford. It had a population of 46,853 at the 2011 census.

A Day In The Country is an award winning Corporate Events, Team Building and Conference venue based on the Oxfordshire / Northamptonshire border. The venue is set in a 250 acre estate, featuring three trout lakes surrounded by woodland. The hospitality area and conference suite are housed in a magnificent 18th century barn, which has been sympathetically converted to offer the best of both worlds; open log fires combine with the sophistication of a modern conference and hospitality suite. Corporate activities range from Clay Shooting, Archery, Air Pistol Shooting, Rage Buggies, 4×4 Driving, Tractor Driving, Falconry, Hovercraft driving to Team Building Exercises and our Ropes Course and Raft Building.

Attended as part of business strategy & team building day. Sited just of the M40 so very easy to get to. Well signposted with plenty of parking. We were in the great barn. Great entrance hall for everyone to gather in. Breakfast of bacon rolls,tea & coffee provided to give a great start to the day. Separate function room with fantastic seating & projection presentation facilities. Tea , coffee & biscuits provided during break. Great buffet lunch served. During breakfast, tea & lunch all dietary requirements were catered for. Our group contained both vegan & gluten free. Following lunch we were split in to several groups for the team building part of the day. Each activity had its own instructor who were very professional. The activities were also well thought out & the equipment was of great quality & unlike some facilities there was a very low risk around health & safety. I strongly recommend this venue if you are planning an similar event to ours. There was also a bar that we did not use but I expect that this place would also be a fantastic venue for small wedding parties or family parties.

We played between Christmas and new year when Tadmarton was almost the only playable course in Oxfordshire! Despaired the heavy rain in the preceding weeks, the course was in great condition. We had to play off mats, which I understand was to help the fairways complete their recovery from the damage caused in 2018 by the very long hot summer, but this didn’t spoil our experience. The course is not long, but is challenging and every shot requires some thought. I loved the “natural” feel to the course - it has all the very best qualities of an English heathland layout. The absolute icing on the cake was the welcome we received in the clubhouse. The menu was limited due to the Christmas period but even so, the food was great quality and the staff and other members were a pleasure to meet. I would highly recommend this great golf club and will definitely be back - in fact several of us are considering membership

Fantastic 18 hole golf course complex with, great practice facilities, putting green, par 3 course and a large Clubhouse facility offering relaxed informal food & drink daily 8am-6pm together with stunning first floor function facilities designed for weddings, dinners, meetings and parties. Sit down meals for up to 180 parties for up to 280. Simply the most flexible and accomodating hospitality venue in North Oxfordshire.

We are Good For The Sole the walking group with a difference. We promote mental and physical health through exploring the countryside right on our doorstep. We often have a pub stop and have an incredible community feel, with a diverse range of walkers.
