Wilhelma Zoologisch-Botanischer Garten

Reviewed By tracyg963 - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

I truly enjoyed the well cared for animals and the cages were clean, the animals looked healthy and in a stress free environment. The zoo had a meandering sense and was a relaxing and enjoyable outing. The botanical gardens were a highlight and the paths thru the park to see all the different animals and gardens very enjoyable. Very good time for all ages and places to stop and picnic or take a break to enjoy food or ice cream. Recommend getting a ticket on line the park has a certain amount they let in otherwise they ask you to come back after 3pm. Parking was 5 euros but the metro stop is right near the entrance and with all the construction in that area is a good option.

Schwarzwald Hochstrasse

Fun road to drive with a length of 65 kilometer. Can't miss it because the signs are very clear. We drove from Baden-Baden to Freudenstadt but of course you can also drive it the other way around. Be aware there a lot of motorbikes on the road and sometimes trail hogs. There are several sightseeing spots, landmarks, lakes or waterfalls to stop or make a walk. Best stop points are the geroldsau waterfalls and the Mummelsee. We also tried to reach the Bühlerhöhe castle but couldn't find it. The road is perfectly maintained.

Wasserfallsteig

Reviewed By 123richardz - Rotterdam, The Netherlands

After walking a nice, bit busy with other tourists, trail that is relatively steep and nicely maintained, that follows the little stream upwards you reach this very nice waterfall. You can get to the bottom of the fall by some steps and you can even get in behind the fall by climbing the last 20 meters of rock.
