So much to choose from for families to do and everyone had a blast. We painted animals and bowls and also did a mosaic. The staff is friendly and helpful and it's a nice relaxed atmosphere. We noticed we were not the only table of painters happily singing along to the music they played. The studio is bright and colourful and fun to look at all the artwork, both samples of painted pottery and art from local artists. Lots of art for the walls, as well as beautiful jewellery. They also have lotion and soaps and fun gifts for the kids. Loved that we could purchase a coffee and smoothies at the shop next door. Will come again!!

This was an extremely pleasant experience right from the first phone call talking to Ross. Working and setting everything up with Savannah was extremely easy and enjoyable. They accommodated myself and my daughter with golf carts the same day we called and delivered them. How could you possibly ask for anything more. The young man that delivered them was extremely friendly pleasant professional and now legible and answered all our questions and more. We will use this place every time we visit the Outer Banks. Thank you very much for accommodating us.

Avon Fishing Pier

Built by two local brothers from the village of Kinnakeet (now known as Avon Village), the pier took two years to construct. It opened its doors in the summer of 1963 and has been in continuous operation since then. The pier stretches 665 feet out into the Atlantic Ocean. Its visible crooked bends are testament to the forces of Mother Nature over the many years. Today the Avon Fishing Pier is the only pier remaining in operation in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The pier is world famous for its many records, especially with giant Red Drum that frequently school just off the end of the pier. Today the pier is in even better hands with ownership belonging to Koru Village Resort and Spa. Whether you are a seasoned angler or just taking the family fishing for the day, the Avon Fishing Pier is the perfect spot. Come and start a tradition of your very own today.

2/3 of the pier is open. There were many people fishing & just enjoying the view. There are beverages there for purchase or take your cooler.
