Avanos (Greek: Άβανος (f. sg.)) is a town and district of Nevşehir Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey, located 18 km (11 mi) north of Nevşehir, the capital city of the province. It is situated within the historic and tourist region of Cappadocia. According to 2000 census, population of the district is 35,145 of which 12,288 live in the town of Avanos. The district covers an area of 994 km (384 sq mi), and the average elevation is 920 m (3,018 ft), with the highest point being Mt. İsmail Sivrisi at 1,756 m (5,761 ft).

I couldn’t have asked for a better tour around Cappadocia. Samet is a word-class guide. We had a last minute schedule change, and despite virtually no notice, he was able to accommodate my group. Samet tailored the tour around our interests, ensuring that we saw exactly what we wanted. He’s extremely knowledgeable and speaks fluent English. Me and my friend booked a day private tour with this company. We really enjoyed our time in ancient city Ephesus which was a greek and roman city. Our guide mr Umut was very friendly and knowledgeable local guide made our tour great. Also, visited a village near by Ephesus very great nature and environment tried local foods was very delicious, Ephesus is a great place you should visit! I highly recommend!

It was an amazing experience! I was with my friends and we booked the private tours of Red and Green Tour. Our guide Asim had the most interested way to tell us all the most important facts of the history of Cappadocia without boring us. Bekir (our driver) was very kind and at our disposal all the time. They showed us great places and suggested us good restaurants and souvenir shop. If you go to Cappadocia, you should ask for this 2 guys.
